I think people from December already got "the call". I interviews December as well... And by this point, I am expecting my snail mail rejection, since I did not get an email saying I was deferred 🙁

New to SDN. I've been reading over the threads for two years and finally decided to join. I interviewed 12/16 and was accepted 1/27 via email. I'm an IS applicant, 29 MCAT, 3.74 undergrad. I must say, having been stuck in SC for the past few years, I'm very excited to be heading back to good ol' PA. Good luck to everyone waiting to hear back! I've heard of quite a few ppl that have been deferred and then accepted, so don't give up hope. Even the student I interviewed with said he was deferred for almost two months.

One quick question for those who have already been accepted: has anyone started a facebook page or anything similar for Class of 2018? It probably wouldn't be a bad idea for us to start one. That way we can be in touch if we have any questions or anything before August. Plus, it'd be a nice introduction prior to meeting everyone on re-visit day or the start of classes.

Interviewed Jan. 10th....not a word. I believe the admissions committee will be meeting next week.

Yeah TCMC admissions takes a while to get back for after interview decisions. When they said a decision will be reached in ~6 weeks, I think it was a typo and they meant months.

For most updates, its usually done by email. In your Secondary look for "Communication Status" just in case you missed any correspondence.

There was no deferral.

Oh yay there is hope. 🙂 but I prob won't go there tho( the dumbest reason ever lol.... I cannot see myself spending 4 years of my life in that one building). I just want to know what is going on. 🙂

Apparently, the final 2 years are not spent in that one building, but are split by a few other geographical regions.

I believe so. Those with children or spouses tend to remain in the North campus.

"Second Look" refers to an event most schools host where admitted students are invited to visit the school again as a refresher of what they have to offer...basically, the school is trying to win you over if you have multiple acceptances. 😛

I don't think I will. Truthfully the interview day pretty much summed up TCMC. Making the trek all the way over there doesn't seem worth it to me.

I did, but someone already described what second look is above me. Some schools invite people on the waitlist to see the school again to help make a decision, but it's usually for people accepted.

Hey everyone, first year here. Revisit day is in most respects an attempt to win you over. However, if you are interested in TCMC you may want to consider attending to learn directly from students and faculty about the different campuses as they will have you rank your campus preferences somewhere around that time. To that point I think that many of the students in TCMC would probably rank the campuses West, North, South in that order if they could do it again

Can you elaborate on why rank in that order? I always thought most people wanted North.

For those of you currently attending TCMC, can you tell me a little bit about the REACH-HEI program? I'm matriculating in the fall, and I've read that the program is open to pre-matriculating students. Any info would be great, because I've tried calling the program coordinator and she's never near her phone. Thanks a lot in advance!

Thanks for the response! I had one more question regarding South campus - Does the level 1 trauma center add at all to the acute care sub-internships? Or does it not really make a difference?
