Thank You, definitely true. An interview is preferable.
What stage are you at if you dont mind me asking?
I am actually interviewing this month. just hoping that not all seats are filled yet. also an OOS. >34 >3.8

I'm pretty sure at that stage the interviews are for a waitlist spot. I'm in the same situation as you. My flight for todays interview was cancelled so I'm now rescheduled for March as well.Thank You, definitely true. An interview is preferable.

That's great! Good Luck!I am actually interviewing this month. just hoping that not all seats are filled yet. also an OOS. >34 >3.8
Thank you! I'll check that out.DOUBLE TREE. It's like 10 minutes from the school but it's beautiful and cheap and the service was amazing.

I tried starting a different thread for this, but got no replies. Has anyone been accepted to both UK and UofL, or has had to make that decision in the past? They both seem like such good schools, I'm struggling to decide..
I'm in the same boat!
does UK call or email for acceptance?
I got a call.
I was asked and the woman wrote down all the other places I interviewed. I found it odd, too. I was worried it would hurt my chances, but I got in.For people who interviewed already, were you asked whether you have had interviews/acceptances from other schools? This is the first school where I got this question and I was kind of surprised by it.
I was asked kind of casually if I've interviewed at other places. I said yes, and we just moved on with the discussion. For people who interviewed already, were you asked whether you have had interviews/acceptances from other schools? I tried to dance around it and say "Midwestern public schools" and stuff like that but she wanted the names of the schools. She asked me how many interviews I had and asked me exactly which schools I would be/had interviewed at.did you voluntarily tell the places you interviewed? they didn't ask me where I had been before. I find this question to be rather awkward because who knows what conclusion they could derive from it.

It's definitely a pro-UL discussion but I am fairly certain I'll pick UK. The curriculum makes more sense to me and I found UK to be more organized and professional during interviews and the application process. I also preferred UK's hospital and faculty. There is a little bit of discussion on UK vs UofL in the UofL thread.
It was. Between that and the second interviewer who spent 10 minutes interviewing me instead of the allotted 30 because "I have a flight to catch so we have to make this quick" I was so sure I wasn't getting in.Wow! that's aggressive in my opinion.
Expect an II soon.Anyone ever get the status "Interview(s) To Be Scheduled," or know if it means an II will be extended? I have no idea how long ago it switched from "Out of State Hold" - the last time I checked was probably a month ago or more lolololol

They told us the earliest they'd call is Friday, and they were having the meeting Thursday afternoon. I got the call Thursday night.Does the acceptance phone call usually come the same day as the admissions meeting or a few days after? On the flip side of that, how soon will they email bad news?
I'm still going.Anyone else panicking because the class is full and you haven't interviewed yet...? Anyone? Bueller?

Don't skip! If it's encouraging at all, I'm holding a spot in the class but it is highly unlikely I'll go here at this point, so there's that. I'm sure there are lots of people like me. I'd withdraw right now, but there is a still a slight chance that I'll be forced into going here due to some unique circumstances. Best of luck!
I wouldn't say panicking, but I'm definitely a little down about it. My interview is coming up really soon, so I just missed the boat.
This would make me feel better: Anyone know if UK has an IS and an OOS wait list in order to fill a certain number of slots for each? If they are all thrown together, things could get tough for the in-staters.
Which school are you planning to choose over UK? UL?
I think they did. It was early January, and I was going to go but my flight was cancelled. We have a Facebook group and one of the girls there called and asked, and AdComs said that was going to be the only event they have for accepted students until summer/fall matriculation.Has UK already had a second look weekend? If not, has anyone heard anything about when it will be?
Did you get the accepted student newsletter sent out today? It contains links/videos of all of the topics covered during the event.Has UK already had a second look weekend? If not, has anyone heard anything about when it will be?

Yea, actually I wouldn't bother watching the videos. You didn't really miss anything unless you need information on financial aid; but after going, I can say it's exactly what you expect, "sorry, you'll have to pay with loans", basically. Though, the dean did give a pretty epic speech at the end. Maybe it was just his accent that I liked.

So if we are going to call in and check our status, anyone know if they prefer we call the general admissions office number or Kim Scott's office number? Thanks.
What about that email that said the class is full?Hi Everone--I interviewed today at UK and had a great experience. Kim Scott definitely made the point to tell us that they are far from finished in finalizing their class, so still holding out hope! What has been the average time in finding out about being placed on the waitlist? Are you emailed or do you receive a letter in the mail? Thank you!

The class is still full, but she was implying that there will be movement within the class. What about that email that said the class is full?
They also send out a letter in the mail about your status (I recently got one saying on Hold). Has anybody received such a letter, yet? Is there really no wait list decision until after the interviews are complete? Or has anyone on here already gotten on the wait list?
Official rejection letter today. I thought I already was rejected so blacked it out in my Excel Sheet, so wasn't disappointed as much...but...meh.
Good luck to everyone else still in contention!
