Any other in-staters submit a residency form?
Yeah sorry if i caused a panic. You Email them the residency if you're In state. They dont make a big deal of mentioning it but my friend submitted his application a month ago and they did not process it because he never E-mailed his residency, even though the secondary said everything was complete.
I'm pretty sure it just says "If you are a Permanent Resident of the United States, you must send a copy of the front and back of your green card to [email protected]"
That's not for state residency. They don't receive funding from Florida anymore so it doesn't really matter. They might just give preference to people who live in Florida and I think they'll get that from your AMCAS.
What this person said lol. But be careful with the Email address, i noticed a typo on one of them that was missing an i in Miami so the email wouldnt send. Im still having trouble sending them my photograph and residency so im about to throw my computer out the window.
Haha sorry for the confusion... did anybody else have trouble submitting the photograph? I keep getting the email sent back to me with an error message about the university's inbox.
Oh my bad! I thought you were talking about IS residency not US residency...carry on 🙂
Does anyone know when the next batch of IIs will come along? UNDER REVIEW since Tuesday!! And very hopeful.

Good luck!Woohoo! Interviewing on Friday! Is anyone else interviewing on 9/20?
I'm super excited for UMiami, I hope they love me as much as I love them!!!!!
Sorry if this has been posted before.... but is there like a hold status at this school or does one's status just remain"under review" until they are invited for an interview or ultimately rejected?
Thanks!

I think I've seen a couple people post here where their status was something like "your file has been reviewed. The process is from September - April ...etc." I guess that's the hold status. I'm not entirely sure though.
So is this a hold?;
Your application has been reviewed by the Admissions Committee at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. At this time, a final decision has not been reached on your application.
For anyone who has already interviewed here, can you give some insight to how big the interview group is? Like did 50 people show up for orientation or was it more like 10 or 15?
Just curious, thanks!
Two days for me.Hello everyone,
I have a quick question. How long did it take for Admissions to update your status or send an e-mail saying that they received the photo?
Thanks!

How do you know if your choices have been confirmed? Do you get an e-mail notification? I selected my 4 choices but haven't heard back regarding the exact interview date...Miami must have sent out a lot of II today. When I went to sign up for interview dates for MD/MPH program, there were numerous dates available, but I still got my third choice. Not until December! 🙁 First option was for next week.

It does! Thanks to both of you 🙂Yes and when you check back on the status page there are no longer 4 dates. Only the one you chose/were given. Hope this helps!![]()
Very nice touch that they send a confirmation email for the interview the day before. Big points for manners in my book. Just landed in MIA, and I'm super pumped to be here!

Do you guys know the percentage of interviewed candidates that get in? (i.e. If you get an interview, it is very likely you will get accepted?)
EDIT: Ah...seems like it's still not too likely 🙁
In-state: Interviewed (238), Accepted (90), 90/238 = 37%
Just got the: "your application has been reviewed... Applicants will be invited for interview based on committee score.. Interviews will be extended from September to April" status. Anyone go from this status to REJECTION? Also, for those who went from this status to INTERVIEW, how long did it take you guys? Thanks!
