Does anyone know when wait list movement began in previous years? Or how much movement GW tends to have?

i was told the waitlist is exceptionally mobile, but it will start picking up in april (end of it mostly) because thats when people have to start giving up their spots at multiple acceptances.
as for me, i plan to become #1 emailer, updater, snapchat best friend for gw admissions until then 😛

I interviewed 10/28, but still haven't heard anything! It will be 10 weeks tomorrow, but that is including holiday time. Should I call?

Pure speculation but I think they're going to come out with another round of decisions tomorrow. There are a lot of people hitting that 8-10 week mark. I interviewed 11/11

What is your evidence for this speculation ?!? Sorry if that sounds aggressive it's not meant to 🙂 I'm just wondering if this is a real possibility

it seems that most of the acceptances have been coming in on Tuesdays and Wednesdays based on previous posts on this thread. those who have not heard back yet, which appears to be the end of Oct interviewers onward, have not heard in about 8-10 weeks, and now that holiday break is up they should be sending some info soon. so i agree (maybe also wishful thinking) with the above post. fingers crossed!!

Exactly my thinking..

Still on hold and already sent one update, are they still giving out interviews? What should I do?

A lot of people here are on hold. If you already sent one update, I don't think there's anything more that you can do except wait.

The wait is so tough! Good luck everyone!! Hitting the 8-week mark this week...

Hey everyone,

I submitted my secondary in Aug and have been on hold for a long time (I'm a Canadian). I've been offered 2 interviews elsewhere but I still want to interview at as many places possible. I'd love to be interviewed here but I'm losing hope. Should I send a letter of interest?

Anyone here interviewing tomorrow?! I get into DC (from Philly) tonight around 8p. It'd be great to meet people before the crazy interview day that lies ahead.

I feel like nobody has reported getting accepted through here.

Got an email at 4pm today. Waitlisted/alternate. Interviewed 11/6

All of you who did interview, any advice for an upcoming one?
It was a pretty standard interview - two one-on-one, with a student and a faculty respectively. Just know the basics like your experiences, why medicine, why GW, etc. I don't recall any ethical questions.

Could any current students comment on the likelihood and timing of being admitted from the alternate pool? Do you know classmates who were in this position, and whether they found out about their acceptance in the spring or much closer to the time of orientation (as the range of timing posted on the website indicates)? Any advice would be wonderful! Thank you!

Is this school receptive to in the area emails or not? I would look through the threads…but the threads have become way too long to sift through each page...

Just wanted to share my interview experience from a couple weeks back...

The whole day everyone basically preaches "oh, all the interviewers are SO nice and chill, don't stress at all", and I believed them. my student interview went fantastic. my faculty interview, not so much.

my interviewer seemed angry to be there, wasn't interested in any of my answers, and often kept asking me to elaborate more (sometimes as many as three times) for certain answers that in my opinion didn't have much to elaborate on. not to go into specifics, but just wanted to share this. I would say every other interviewer I saw seemed extremely pleasant, and I happened to get the one that wasn't. maybe just poor luck but totally not expecting good news from here. overall I loved the school, but yeah. best of luck to you all

EDIT: since posting this, I've received PMs from three people who've had similar experiences. all of us have had different interviewers. just providing a heads up for you to go in extra prepared and not assume it'll be an easy one. again, best of luck!

I interviewed in November and heard the same message all morning. Then when I saw the different interviewers pick up their students, they all seemed very stern/stoic/elderly men, not that any of those things are bad, but it didnt exactly give me the vibe that the interviews would be comfortable or un-stressful.

That being said, I consider myself really lucky, as I got an interviewer who had a completely different profile - outgoing, young, female professor.

Did any questions about the ACA come up in anyone's interviews?
Mine asked a couple.

Also asked questions like "what should I be looking for in an applicant" when I replied with answer like "respect, trustworthy, etc" they said something along the lines of how do they know that I am not lying.

Haha, it was a hilarious, scary, and fun interview

I have heard from a couple people that they were asked a question about the ACA.
Thanks!
nope. both my interviews went amazingly well. however, its been over 10 weeks and nothing...
The wait seems so brutal... I'm sure you'll hear good news!

Were they very specific? I have a pretty general understanding of it.
Oh hahah how do you even respond to that...
