Hold for me as well. LizzyM ~69. Have tons of international volunteer work experience and publications.
Is there a way to tell the date that my application was put on hold?
Joined the Hold party this morning.

GPA: 3.78

Lol jk I'm now on holdStill no status change...complete mid July or so
This was one of my safer schools, with a 3.9 gpa and 33 mcat, so kind of surprised about getting a hold as well. I wonder why they recently started giving out so many holds

lol YESthanks to you neurotic low-born penguins on this thread.
keep checkingare holds sent via email or do you just have to keep checking?
To the people who have interviewed already, I was wondering if you had any tips for my interview. This is my first one and I am a little shaky on my interview skills! I have done some lurking in the threads, and I have gathered that its pretty laid back, but I would appreciate any tips! Thanks!
Congratulations! Did you get on hold before II?Got an II today. Application submitted 08/27. Canadian with a LizzyM of ~69/70.
Like someone mentioned, they automatically have an interview date scheduled for you, but it seems like they make a real effort if you need to reschedule.
On hold, OOS, LizzyM - 72, complete 9/10
That's three holds in a row from my three lowest stats schools... freaking me out a bit. Especially since I would love to go here.
Hey there! This was my first med interview and I had it last week. I also found it super laid back. Just two 25 min interviews, one with a student, one with a faculty member. Since it's closed file, make sure you have a game plan of points to hit or bring up, since the discussion can kind of go anywhere based on what the interviewer is interested in following up on. Also, my faculty interviewer seemed to like asking a few questions that caught me off guard to see how I'd react, including some on current events like ACA and NIH funding, so it'd be a good idea to form a stance on some current health topics before you interview. But seriously, it's best to try to relax and forget how much weight those 50 minutes could have on your future haha. Best of luck!
Oh great, so now tomorrow there will be a ton of "I can't believe I got in!" posts. On the one hand, envy will consume my soul, but on the other, maybe there will be some shuffling around and some withdrawals of applications and I'll land with a II. I am, however, somewhat weirded out that I am neither on hold nor have I gotten a II. Secondary submitted early July and LOR's complete beginning of August. The first day one can hear back from any school is October 15th.
