Great. Thanks alot for the info. Just dry cleaned my suit for no reason then. When do u think is the earlier we can leave on friday?

I have been like 5 times a day haha. As for second look, I thought probably khakis and a nice shirt since we'll be walking around the hospital. Considering jeans for the Thursday activities but will probably play it safe with khakis then too.
 
ok, is it just me, or did they take the second look schedule off the student portal? can't find it anywhere - am I just missing something?! :eyebrow:

Any recent "deferred until March" action, seeing as March is ending soon.

Still no word after deferral. I'm guessing it'll lead to a rejection as March is practically over. Do you think a letter of intent will make a difference at this point?

When are you guys going to sign apartments? So right now NU is my second choice and I have every intention of matriculating, but if I get off the waitlist at Cornell (NYC is my current city) I would probably go there just to avoid having to move...with that said, not really sure when I should be signing leases in Chicago. In the meantime my current landlord is giving me some trouble with lease extension.
I missed Second Look 🙁 but will be visiting mid-April so thinking whether I should look at apts then or wait...these trips aren't cheap lol

I haven't decided when I'll go to Chicago to look at apartments either. I'm also waitlisted elsewhere I would rather attend, so I'm also curious about this.
 
Does anyone know when the waitlist typically moves? Is it always after May 15? On the website they said June...

This year the date has been moved up to April 30th. The website very likely may not have been changed to reflect that. I wouldn't expect any sizable waitlist movement until May, which would continue into June and July.
 
Still no response after deferral until March. Does NU do silent rejects?

The NU accepted students FB page is one of the liveliest and most active that I'm a member of; everyone seems super pumped to be a part of the new cohort (and you're getting @jsquared91 in the mix, so you have every right to be so 😉 ). Have fun in gorgeous downtown Chi-town! You guys are going to have a blast.
 
Guys there was no deposit for us right????
Right before going to bed last night boyfriend was like, so how do you even know? Don't you have to put down a deposit? and I was like ummm I think we just withdraw and trust that they know and keep the system organized.
But of course that led to a night of restless sleep.

Edit: just kidding, looked up acceptance e-mail. The adrenaline...

So in other news I should be officially locked in :headphone:

Did anyone else get an email today asking if we were still interested in being on the waitlist because a spot was opening up?

So I was incredibly dumb and haven't sent a letter of interest even though Feinberg is my top choice. Do you think now is too late?

It's never too late. I sent one in for another school, and even though I am not hopeful it might play a role, I certainly feel better that I did all I could.

I and at least one other person in this thread have, but it's not a bulk email. The pattern seems to be that if you respond affirmatively to that email you'll receive an acceptance the following day. Congratulations!!

Also, to anyone accepted off the alternate list, have you received an email about setting up a netid?

I got one of these today. Fingers crossed @Temerit is right about this and tomorrow we'll hear back. Did anyone get accepted off the waitlist without such an email first? Also were these acceptances via email or phone call?

I got an email acceptance. I know someone else that got a phone call (they may have emailed me cause I'm on west coast time). We both received the "we have a spot opening up" email the day before being accepted.

Don't want to jinx anything, but congrats!

When I have sent updates via email I have gotten replies saying they were received/added to my file. I think sometimes it was a few days later.

I see thank you. I sent an email not from my amcas email but my company email so I'm not sure if I should resend it to dean Wallace or if he even got it...

All I know is you should probably reply telling them to eff off and that you would never go to Feinberg. It'll just makes them want you more from what I've heard.

If you reply affirmatively, it looks like you can expect an acceptance the next day (by phone/email).

It certainly is not a mass email.
