Received a II last week and scheduled an interview for January! Really surprised to see that the earliest date was after the new year. But I'm relieved to see that at least one of the MD schools extended an invite.

For me: 9/22 interview & 10/15 acceptance, so 3 weeks.

The interviews were mostly organic conversations. They'd ask a basic question and we would talk for a while.

I wouldn't anticipate any curveballs. Just make sure you have a good reason for "why TCMC."

Current MD2 here who does interviews.

To answer your first question, I'd like to think that the student interview has at least some influence on the admissions process. With this being said, I'm not sure how much it is weighted relative to the faculty interview and other factors.

Student interviews are meant to be conversational and low-pressure. We are asked to score candidates in certain areas (overall fit, interpersonal skills, etc.) but we also comment in detail on our overall conversation and why we assigned the scores that we did.

Maybe some of my classmates can comment further and add their perspectives.

II e-mail just a few minutes ago! OOS, complete 9/16, sGPA and cGPA 3.4-3.6, 34.

This was the first news I've heard in weeks from any school, such a relief just to get some news. Hope more good news is coming for others on this thread today as well!

I was deferred after that first batch of decisions. Based on last years thread, we will probably have to wait until late November or early December for the next batch. Can anyone with a recent interview comment on this?

Mine is still the same - as if I haven't gone to the interview. But that's on the status page. On my interview page it says something like it was a pleasure to meet you, if you would like to email your interviewers...etc etc.

I interviewed this past Monday and my status had changed to a thank you note. Something along the lines of "thanks for coming and you'll hear back in 6-8 weeks".

Maaannn. Well they did tell us we had to wait 6-8 weeks. It's only been about 3.

Not at all. 34 mcat, lower ug GPA but 3.6 grad GPA. I was complete 8/18. I'm also a reapp, with a big jump in my MCAT which I think really helped my app this time around
