We can be friends!
I thought we were all gonna be friends!!
:O
We can be friends!
I haven't heard anything in a very long time. Only about 3 weeks until the magic April 30th dateno decisions today??
Ok, I didn't receive an email. Does it say primary WL on your snail mail letter as well?Yes, in the email.
THANKS!I don't believe so, but I will edit this post to let you know as soon as I get a chance to take a look at it! (I wouldn't sweat it though. I think you would have been placed on the "alternate list" if you were a step below wait list status.)
EDIT: Yes, that was correct - the official letter says, "You are currently on a waiting list for a place..." Hope that helps/puts you at ease!
Good point! So much worrying!See a few posts up. Looks like they didn't send an accompanying email with the final batch of wait list notifications. Also, if/when you get an offer for acceptance, it'll come by phone (plus, the II was sent by email, so if you got that, you're good)!
Which branch? See you soon!Got my unconditional letter in the mail recently! So excited to be able to go here in the fall 🙂 good luck to everyone still waiting!!!
The last week+ of waiting isn't a whole lot of fun...

I was hoping it would happen before to be honest. My wife is becoming more and more settled here, and the longer before I know, the harder this move will be for her 🙁.Do you think movement will begin happening immediately after 4/30?
Last year I don't think so. The year before most definitely. Was there more by this point last year?
.Navy specifically was very slow last year compared to history. That said that's just from SDNers. Not exactly a scientific cross section.
Congrats! Glad to hear it's movingJust got in off of the Navy wait list. Good luck to everyone still in the fight.
Question: I was accepted to one branch then moved to the wait list for that same branch (PHS for NIH lost funding for one spot). If I don't get off the wait list and end up reapplying, will USUHS still be counted as an acceptance when reapplying? (eg. secondary apps ask if you were accepted by another allopathic med school in previous cycles)

Oh man, that is literally the thing I would have nightmares about. I really, really hope they can get you squared away happily in the PHS or another branch.Question: I was accepted to one branch then moved to the wait list for that same branch (PHS for NIH lost funding for one spot). Received the call (Navy)! This is my top choice so I will be attending in the fall! I hope there is a lot more movement for those that are waiting, Good luck everyone!
Congrats!Just got the call! Air Force!
Thank you and hopefully that means you are off to somewhere you love even more 🙂Just declined my acceptance for a Navy spot. Best of luck to you all!
CongratsGot the call today for Army! I am in complete shock. After two rough application cycles and NINE years as a pre-med, words cannot describe how excited I am to be joining you this fall. I live in the area already and have a family member at USUHS, so if anyone has any questions or wants to meet up pre-orientation PM me!
Congrats
Very happy for you!
