Does anyone know if Wayne is open to pre interview update/interest letters? Submitted my secondary a month ago and haven't heard anything
Has anyone interviewed here yet? I'm curious as to how it was....
Me!Thanks! Gave them a call and they said they accept updates at any point in the cycle. But I got my interview invite before I had a chance to write one up! Any other October 13th interviewers?
Quite relaxed. A single hour-long interview with an optional lunch and tour (which you would be silly to decline.) I appreciated the efficiency of the affair and left with a very positive impression of the school.
Sweet! Anyone interested in sharing a cab from/to DTW or exploring the area on sunday?Me too 😀
The question of letters of interest/intent or update letters comes up a lot so I asked someone in the admissions office and this is what they said to me. Update letters can help if there's been some sort of major change that wasn't represented on your application when admissions reviewed it. Publication, different position, something along those lines. Letters of interest neither help nor hurt your application for much of the application cycle. However, I was asking for people who were post-interview and who were kind of languishing on the waitlist. Knowing the above, though, I would be surprised if a letter of interest would be all that helpful prior to receiving an interview. An update letter that reflects a significant piece of new information would probably be useful for them to know, however.
EDIT: sorry, didn't read your message that said you got an interview. Congrats! Good luck this cycle!
EDIT #2: The time specifically when letters of interest/intent can help is very late in the cycle (the weeks leading up to first year orientation) when they aren't sure if out of state students in particular will be willing to move at a moment's notice. If you are out of state and find yourself still on the waitlist during that final month, that is the time where a letter of interest will potentially help you the most.
Can you elaborate on things that haven't run perfectly?I'm M3 at Wayne, have liked it very much. This year has been great so far although I will say there are some things that do not run perfectly. Every year has been better than the last as far as I am concerned. Let me know if you have any questions!

I've been complete since 8/17 and still no II. Anyone else in a similar boat?
+1, complete right around then. I'm IS and thought I had a reasonable shot at Wayne.
Same here :/+1, complete right around then. I'm IS and thought I had a reasonable shot at Wayne.

Yup. You can't win it if you're not in it.Just received the secondary late last week. I know they screen heavily pre-secondary but is it still worth it for an OOS without stellar stats at this point in the cycle?🤔
It varied quite a bit. Mine wasHow long does it typically take to find out if Wayne State is sending you a secondary? I submitted my primary to the school on October 1st, but haven't heard back yet.
Does anyone besides Macropipette have this information?

Hey guys,
I have a question. I know next week (22nd) the first set of acceptances are being released. Does anyone know how many acceptance they give out each round?
They made it sound like you will get a decision that day.How many people are normally accepted each time? Thanks!

Plenty of time.Hey guys,
I am interviewing in november. My interview is in the morning and plan on taking the tour and lunch with the medical students. I was wondering if I take a flight out of DTW at 5:40pm that evening, would that give me enough time to get to the airport?
