When did small pool emails go out last year?

Worthy dudes and dudettes,

Late to the party, but I was wondering if anyone else had this happening on their application status: I received the secondary on July 1, submitted on July 9, and got the "your application is under review" email on August 7. My application status says complete, but also includes a column that says "Modified On" and it says it was modified earlier this morning, but I haven't logged into the portal for weeks until just now to check it, so... are they all up in there modifying..... stuff? Like rejection and/or II stuff?

I imagine my application as a quadriplegic surrounded by piranhas in a blood-tinged kiddie pool.

I've checked it a few times over the past month (I submitted July 5th) and the same has happened to me. I think historically they don't send out IIs until a little later so I'm not panicking...yet

Does anyone know how long it take for 1/2 to become 2/2 ? (LOR)

Has anyone gotten "small pooled" yet? If so what does the notice look like/where does it appear on the portal?

I've been 1/2 (LOR) for almost 3 weeks now...getting a little worried...

I doubt it, since they usually go out in batches and it's likely that at least one person would have reported it here once the first batch is sent out

Mine is for MCAT score (6/20) but the way she was talking, she made me believe that basically the whole system is skiwompus, lots of people have been calling but everyone's info is fine, the computer's just kinda dumb.
Yeah, I finally heard back from them too, thanks! You would think that they had figured out the kinks in their system by now, but ah well.

So once we're up to 2/2, should we still be waiting for further notification that our application is complete and under review? Or does 2/2 = complete? Or should I just accept that everything is fine and stop worrying about it because I'm sure they'll look at all ours apps eventually? (Ok, definitely the last one).

Stop worrying lol

I've been 2/3 for 3 weeks now... how long did everyone say it took them to see it updated properly?

A month for me. Some people it happened immediately, some even longer than a month. It was just random. And I was complete 7/3, so I don't know.

Fill out the WI residency paperwork as soon as possible - it may not have much of an impact in their decision, but it can be a long (i.e. months!) process, and you want it confirmed for financial aid. I had mine sent in September last year, and it didn't get resolved until February, and MCW was anxious for it to get cleared up. (It was delayed on the State's end for some reason... probably was an uncommon occurrence.)
How do I go about submitting the WI residency paperwork? I don't remember seeing anything on the secondary webpage for it.

How many people usually get off of the small pool and get interviewed? Are there any stats online anywhere that show this?

I think it's about a third of all small pooled, based on someone who posted the stats last year

@HybridEarth Are the stats on last year's page? If so I'm going to do some digging because I'm really curious to know haha!

I couldn't tell you anymore. There's far too much getting stuffed into my head at the moment. I don't remember life before med school. ;-)

There's some kind of paper form you have to print and fill out and send somewhere. I don't remember if it's on MCW or the state's website, or if it's pre or post acceptance. Sorry!

MCW is sure taking their sweet time sending me their secondary, along with Wake Forest.

I submitted on 7/2, had my LORs on AMCAS since late June, and am still 1/2. It's been almost two months. That's a little ridiculous.

Is your second the letters?
If it is, I wouldn't worry about it. I talked to them and they said that as long we Assigned letters through AMCAS, they will have it and we don't have to worry.

Yeah I took the May MCAT and it's up there now. Okay, thanks!

are alot of people at 1/2 complete? I am at 1/3, wonder what the extra 3 is for.

They did have some tech issues this past month so maybe regrouping after that is causing the hold up

There should be red asterisks in the "supplemental items" list indicating what is required.

If you get "small-pooled," do they explicitly say this in an email to you?

I just got an email reminding me to submit my secondary, yet I received a complete email a month ago (because I submitted it a month ago). Anyone else get this email in error?

I just got this "This is a reminder that your MCW Medical School secondary application is not complete" email from MCW.

Funny thing is I am 2/2 and got a "complete and under review email" on 8/10..

lol

Same

thousands of premeds freaking out all over the country as we speak

Lol I am still at 1/2 and I did not get an email about my secondary not being complete. Interesting.

Woah wait. I just realized that I'm 1/2 because they don't have my MCAT. I thought it was because they didn't have my letters. I took the MCAT in May...any other May test takers still at 1/2?

I've been 2/2 and under review since 8/10.

Okayyyy time to call. Assuming they're open till 5 CST?

Edit: She said she doesn't know why the system is showing 1/2 but that they definitely have the MCAT scores for everyone who took it in May.

I got an email saying I was incomplete as well. I called them and they said something weird was going on with their system and there was nothing to worry about

Hey there - fellow trouble maker here. If you have a 3rd requirement, it's because you have an IA and you need to get a letter from your school detailing the nature of the incident or something like that.

I received an email saying I am not complete and I need to submit my secondary which was completed and submitted since 8/3 and they have my LORS.
