2015-2016 Northwestern University (Feinberg) Application Thread

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
For anyone who knows, is there anywhere we can get our books on the cheap or should we just post in the fb group? Also, are any of you getting the optional opthalmoscope? Thanks!
Not sure if you saw the thread on the Facebook page, but you might want to hold off on buying books until you figure out what ones you actually need physical copies of. There's a Google Drive where you can access digital copies and the library has online access to most "required" texts. I also checked old editions out from the library and just used them for the semester. They keep newer ones on reserve, but most don't change much.

But to answer you questionI always used bigwords to search for cheap books though, it searches amazon, eBay, Abebooks, etc. There is a feinberg free and cheap FB group where I've bought old versions of books from upper classmen.

I don't know of anyone who got the opthalmoscope in my class. I was told you didn't need it unless you end up finding a passion for ENT since they were in patient rooms.

Appreciate if you can tell me if the 200k was all need based or merit scholarship. Trying to sort out my financials before getting into medical school next year. I am in the HPME program, and will be moving to Feinberg. Appreciate any guidance that you can provide.

All merit, ended up turning it down

Might be a bit late, but I got 220k, mix of merit and financial aid. But that was after some bargaining.

Any idea what the need based aid would if I Pell grant eligible?
