Does anyone know if they are sending out any more II's? I've heard nothing since August so I'm not really expecting to receive one.
You have a 10min interview with a faculty member and 40 min interview with someone who is the admissions committee. For mine, it seemed like my 10 min interviewer had some access to my file and skimmed enough to ask me the interview standard questions in regards to specific activities but need me to talk about the experience (ie, knew I had volunteered at X or shadowed Y but not what I actually did). The 40 min interview had more in-depth questions about my experiences and made connections between the experiences as well as some ethical/policy questions thrown in. Both are intimidating in their own way but I think were both really good ways to interview applicants- think of it as an elevator pitch and a presentationDo most people have one closed / one open file interview, or is it different for everyone? What is the shorter "rapid fire question" interview like?
Bummer, so sorry :/Waitlisted. Immensely bummed... What are the chances of getting off the waitlist? Anyone know?
10 out of how many? Hundreds!? 😵?Bummer, so sorry :/
My student host had told me about 10 people from his class (last year's) were pulled from the waitlist. So there's still hope!
Good luck, hopefully I'll be seeing you and all the other accepted students this August!
It doesn't really matter, what matters is how many people were accepted in order to fill those 10 spots.10 out of how many? Hundreds!? 😵?
It does matter if you want to know the chances of you being considered to be one of those ten earlier, later, or if at all.It doesn't really matter, what matters is how many people were accepted in order to fill those 10 spots.
Just got an email from Rush that basically says they are getting rid of their student housing for an outpatient clinic but that they are working with students to find other housing..? Anyone know how annoying it is to find decent housing..?
Do you know if the pricing is ridiculous or if it can be reasonable? Not that hard, the area has tons of housing for students seeing as its right by UIC.

I wouldn't want to live in a dump.. but also don't need to live in an amazing apartment.
Hey Guys,
Did anyone receive a confirmation message after sending thank you letters to the interview e-mail Rush provided during the interview? Thanks.
Same. I didn't get a confirmation either. I'm thinking that's normal.I did not get any confirmation msg from them after sending them letters. Please let me know if you did.
Earlier in the app season everyone heard back on the same day, regardless of status..Does everyone interviewing on the same day get a response on the same day? I also interviewed on 2/3 but didn't hear anything back today.
I would check your portal first, if there's nothing there then definitely email/call them because they promise news in 2 weeks post-II. I'm pretty sure they've been on schedule for mostly everyone with that.Interviewed over a month ago. We were told that we would hear back in 2 weeks on interview day. Is it worth sending and e-mail??
Fellow waitlister here. I was advised by my pre-med advisor & someone on an admin committee at another school to wait until march to send a LOI because that's when they'll re-review the waitlist and rank people. You want your letter to be fresh in their mind, and also you want to be able to include all you can in the LOI and maybe something significant will happen to boost your app in a months time.Does anyone know if Rush is receptive to Letters of Intent for those of us on the waitlist? Would now even be the right time to send them?
Their rejection email states that they have concluded their interview season. If we haven't been rejected yet.... Is there still a chance? Does anyone know when Rush stops interviewing?
Well that sucks. I really would have appreciated a rejection email then.Their rejection email states that they have concluded their interview season.
Second Look is Friday, April 15th (for now anyway)Questions! What day is Second Look again?
And how did admitted students get ahold of their Student ID for the Parent Information FAFSA fun fest?
Second Look is Friday, April 15th (for now anyway)
And your student ID should be in the letter that they sent you through snail mail with all of your account information (your email address and stuff). It's in the first few lines
For now as in they haven't sent out an official email about it yet, but that's the date they told me a few weeks ago and the exact times weren't set yet so it could always change I guess (but probably not)What do you mean "for now," is it suppose to change?
Also... facebook group or no?

And yeah there's a Facebook group (Rush Medical College - Class of 2020). You just have to email admissions to confirm your acceptance before they'll approve your request to join the group
Does this mean waitlisted candidates will be re-reviewed soon???rejected just now, but that's okay i'll be matriculating to a better school anyways
"Thank you for your interest in Rush Medical College! We have recently concluded our interview season and regret that we will not be able to offer you an interview for the 2016 application cycle. We received over 10,700 AMCAS applications this year, and the academic credentials of this year’s applicants—along with their array of volunteering/community service, healthcare experience, and involvement in diverse activities—were very impressive."
no more interviews for anyone

Boiler, are you going to matriculate in the FallAt our meeting she said around 15-20 people got off the waitlist last year and she expected that number to be smaller this year
absolutely.Boiler, are you going to matriculate in the Fall
Thought it was April firstI don't know the specifics of Rush, but I was under the assumption that waitlists don't really move until after the April 30 date when students have to rescind all acceptances but one. I don't see why they would go about re-reviewing waitlisted candidates without knowing how much extra space they'll have in their class
Nope it's April 30! used to be May 15.
