How long did it take for you to get complete email? I submitted a week ago and haven't received anything. Also on the website it says "Applicants may check on the status of their application by logging back into their online account and viewing the "Application Details" panel." Has anyone been able to do this? When I log into the portal, I don't see an application details panel.
I have been verified for a couple of weeks now and have received secondaries from everyone except Wake Forest. Do they pre-screen? Is anyone else waiting for a secondary or should I email the office and ask for a secondary?

Email the admissions office on Monday. They sent out acknowledgment emails as well as secondaries in July that some of us did not receive. They should be able to tell you if and when they sent you a secondary and then they should resend it to you if you were a recipient. The admissions office is very helpful. The problem is that now we are several weeks later than other applicants because we did not receive the original email. The problem appears to have been on their end. This has happened to several people. If you did not receive an acknowledgment of your AMCAS email from them and your AMCAS was verified in June, you may fall into this category.

They are already sending out interview invitations. Wake Forest wants you to turn in your secondary within three weeks of receiving it. According to the admissions office, the original secondary email which I never received was sent to me more than three weeks ago.
You can submit more. You just list the two LOR you want Wake to read first and if they want to read more, they will read your other ones. I believe 6 is the limit.
You should have/should receive an e mail Witt a really long link to check your application status. Same username pw etc as the secondary but different link.

I've been verified since 7/23, and haven't even heard if they've even received my primary, let alone the secondary. Is that normal? I called earlier this week (the lady was NOT happy about my call) and she said I wouldn't get a secondary until about 3 weeks. But now some of you are saying you got a email when they received your primary.
Also, since I don't have the secondary I just want to confirm that we only have to answer two of the three required essays (diversity, obstacles, competencies)??

That is correct (except that I wrote all three, because I could copy paste them and I was in a hurry... oh well). Also, I received my secondary on the 17th yet my primary was submitted on the 1st. Yours will come
Wake Forest has a high intake of applications especially at this point in the cycle. Due to the high intake, their system requires some time to go through all the applications even to verify that they received you AMCAS app. This has happened in recent cycles where it would take about 3 weeks for them to send a verification email and then maybe the secondary a few days later. Those who were emailed had submitted their apps earlier and were most likely AMCAS verified in June. Just be patient and wait.
And yes, 2 of the 3 essays. Most do all. Either way it doesn't matter. There's no special consideration for doing all three.

Emailed them to confirm this and that is correct. The person said that if I was verified on or before 07/17, then they have the application. If not, it will be downloaded on their next round sometime next week.
If your application was verified by AMCAS after July 17th, you should hear from us by the end of next week.
Two good essays that tell the COA something about you are better than 3 essays that tell us nothing.
Click on the link they sent when they sent the email reading that they received your primary application.

II here today as of 11:15am!! That's a pretty quick turnaround considering I didn't receive the secondary until July 29th. I did submit the next day, however.

Did you copy and paste? If I remember correctly that causes errors on the login.
Use the link from the email they sent you before they sent the secondary.

@Pathdocmd if we are non-traditional students, is it okay to submit one science letter and one letter from a PI/employer as the non-science?
When I called the admissions office, they said a non-science letter is not actually a requirement. Just at least one of the two needs to be science.

Thanks!! I submitted my primary on 6/4, verified on the 22nd, received the secondary for Wake on Jul 17, submitted about a week later, and was complete on Jul 27!

Did you get the II this early in the morning? If so, I'm impressed.
No no! I got it a little before noon yesterday, and IMMEDIATELY called to schedule the interview date (this is just my first chance to get on SDN since) ... They probably think I'm crazy and live on my email... Which I feel like is a pretty spot-on assumption these days!
Btw guys, Wake Forest Admissions said that they have not even downloaded apps that were verified after 7/17 so that's why we haven't gotten a secondary...
Also, what is this deadline thing I'm hearing about? Do they really give you 3 wks and is it a hard deadline?

Someone in here missed it and they gave them more time. There is also is no actual date they give you just "three weeks" so I wouldn't call it hard but if they give a suggestion might as well follow it. The questions weren't too tough.
They do explicitly specify three weeks in the secondary invite email.
They just granted that particular person an exception.

I think the person who got the exemption for the three week rule never received the email. So I guess if you were super swamped you could just never open the email and then call and say you didn't get it....or you can complete it within three weeks. You should be able to use essays from other secondaries for one or two of Wakes essays.

I wanna make sure others saw a previous post re: missing secondary. I was verified 6/26 and never got a secondary til I called and asked for it 8/7. The kind lady explined it was sent by email 7/17. So, my timeline should've been 3 weeks. If it's been more than 5, maybe call and see if you, too, slipped through the cracks!
