Just checked my portal and I'm under review now! Complete 7/26 OOS. My SO goes here so I'm really hoping the reviewer likes my app.

Those of us who are not yet "under review" should we contact admissions or just be patient?
 
Complete 7/24 and still haven't moved into "under review", blargle. Then again, I'm under EFI at Central Florida and people that were complete before me haven't moved onto that stage. OOS at both schools. Such a mysterious process. I just keep telling myself that it's the speed of the person assigned my file.

Have you taken CASPER yet?
 
I believe I was complete 7/13. Took Casper on 7/26. Just checked the portal and I am under review!
 
I was complete 8/8, Casper 8/11 and still just "complete". I bet it takes a few weeks after Casper for it to go under review.
 
to all wondering about the complete issue, mine was under review before I did the CASPer assessment, im not sure if they wait for results before offering IIs, but I think because its recommended (not required) they might be moving things along for review before exam results come in

When were your dates for complete and under review?
 
Does anyone know if schools are notified that you are scheduled the CASper test? Just wondering if CMU will start reviewing your app before you even get to take the test and how bad it will look that you haven't taken the test that they highly recommended.
 
Anybody gotten an II yet? Or finished review?

I wonder if casper scores for 7/26 have been released to designated schools yet...

I don't think there's anything wrong with saying that the role of a physician is more important than others in a community. They didn't ask if physicians themselves are more important, nor did they ask if a physician's role is more important than all others. They asked if a physician's function as a member of a community is more important than some others, which I think, objectively, it is. I guess I'm just trying to say that the question is open to interpretation, and it doesn't make someone an elitist to articulate that a physician maintains a role which supersedes many others within the community.


tl;dr: Doctors are very important and there's no sense in pretending we don't believe so to give the false appearance of altruism.

no worries. i get what you meant, and didn't take any offense to it. both perspectives are valid, i think.
 
OOS App submitted 07/24; under review. Not that hopeful since CMU prefers IS, and the class number is rather small, but who knows.

Called admission today about this... They said that there is no error on my part just that there is a large volume of applicants and that my application has not been assigned a secondary reviewer...I have been complete since 7/17 and OOS. Hope that helps...

Did they say anything about how they prioritize (IS, complete date, etc) or if it's just random based on the speed of individual reviewers? I'm OOS complete around the same time as you, still stuck.

No they didn't specify =/ I didn't feel like asking them for specifics to not annoy them... But it still doesn't make sense why some applicants who submitted their secondary only recently or haven't even taken the CASPer test already are under review....

They strongly prefer residents of Michigan, ESPECIALLY residents of northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula.
 
Got the "Your supplemental application review is complete but an interview decision is pending. Been under review since very early August, haven't taken CASPER yet
 
II today! Complete mid-July, Lizzy M 64.5.

I'm coming from California! Anyone know where is the best airport to fly into?

Edit: also had the "hold" status for about 2 weeks and took Casper 2 days ago
