Also, last thing, but did you see the insulated shirt-jac on page 8... cause it looks like the most comfortable thing ever

I like where your head is at. I'm thinking deepest green or mallard blue. Not only would I wear that Shirt-Jac to a bar...I would wear it to bed.

And primaloft insulation? It doesn't get more New Hampshire than that, my friend. I would guess that the shirt on page 8 is a welcomed replacement to the same old boring suit and tie routine.

Oh the Adcom people would definitely remember us if we showed up in shirts and ties with that shirt-jac on theyd be like wow those are some NH outdoors folks thats the kinda doctor we want
 
sorry idk if this has been mentioned in this thread yet, but im an oos student and got an email I guess id call it an invitation to apply? idk if its a general email they send to everyone? it starts with :
As you may recall when registering for the MCAT exam, you were given an opportunity to add your name and address to the Association of American Medical Schools registry, which shares your information with medical schools nationwide.

Whether you have already applied or are deciding where to apply in a future admissions cycle, we wanted to reach out and share a few things about Dartmouth’s Geisel School of Medicine as you consider your options.

I personally didn't ever consider Dartmouth given by mcat is on the lower end of their percentile, although within range, should I even bother?

Don't apply because of email.. only apply if you really really want Dartmouth

umm ok? of course id love dartmouth as id love any medical school. i jut never applied due to their statistics and secondary fee but im asking now cuz of this email i got if theyre even truly interested or its a generic email.

So I have received a few of those emails (I am URM) from other schools and I applied to some of those schools (albeit mostly early in the admissions cycle). I got one interview from a school I would have otherwise never applied to. So you never know. If you think Dartmouth will be a good fit for you and you would be happy there after doing some research then go ahead. I think that's the point of those e-mails sometimes. Because a lot of people are weary of their competitiveness and sometimes those e-mails help boost confidence. At the same time you have to be realistic. Don't get your hopes up too high and don't become too emotionally invested, especially since it is late in the process. I also received that same e-mail (although it was after I had already been offered an interview). All the best with your decision. The e-mail seemed more generic than the other e-mails that I have gotten though.

Hello! I am super excited to have received an II here (complete 8/7) unfortunately of the three dates offered one was this week while I was out of town and I work during the other two options. Does anyone have any experiences finding another date? Do yall think I could ask for a date within a later range? I don't want to push it too far back, but to go next week I would have to find coverage and buy a last minute plane ticket which so far does not look like it will be cheap :dead:

Time will tell, but I'm sure your interview went well and they will see you for the qualified applicant that you are. On the interview day they said that they would internally rank applicants, so you can interview in September and not hear back until March. So your acceptance email could be a few days away, but coming!

fml haha i know my rejection is prob coming soon (pre-interview). i just want an interview somewhere to offset it
