Exactly. This isn't the most fun process and focusing on how long it is and how your experience differs from others will only make it worse.

Georgetown had about 13,000 applicants and invited a bit over 1,100 to interview last year, which is way more than a lot of schools, so I would expect for it to seem like a lot of people are getting IIs. Keep your head up.
 
Complete July 26th and no news as of yet. Anyone else in the same boat?

(edit: sorry-- just read the posts above-- looks like several people are in this situation) 🙂

It seems like they slowed things down considerably the past month or so! I'm first couple of days of August. 🙂

Also, looking for input - should I update GT about a new project I'm on at work (health policy)?

Rejected pre-II via email today. One of my top choices, but good luck to everyone else in the running!

Got my rejection about 15 minutes ago at work. It really sucks; was hoping they would at least wait on my new MCAT score from September and that my ECs and personal experiences would maybe help get me an interview. I guess this isn't where I'm meant to be. Best of luck to everyone else in the process.

Looking through last year's thread, IIs were reported through December. No idea if they keep the same process from year to year, just throwing it out there.
 
I got the rejection email too. So far based on how interview season is going, I resent the "Apply to state schools + private schools" advice everyone dishes. I've gotten IIs from two schools in my state and have heard nothing, except this rejection, from everyone else.
 
Rejected this morning, good luck to everyone still left!
 
Rejected today, complete mid-August. Good luck to the survivors!
 
Does anyone know if there is a place where we can leave our luggage during our interview day? I will be heading to the airport right after my interview. Thanks.

I find myself drifting in and out of consciousness. My breath is short and labored. My heart scrambles to calm its rapid pace. I hear a gravely voice growl in the distance as it mutters to itself, its bloodlust sated. I struggle to find the wound to dress it but alas I cannot reach. George has stricken this day. Yes. And they lock the room so you don't have to worry about your things!

On a separate note.... has anyone who interviewed last week received the info they said they would email to us?

Complete early August, still hanging on, but this is starting to feel eerily like last year...and the year before that, when I was kept alive until the last minute only to be killed right before IIs started raining down. C'mon George, I wrote your in-the-running-for-the-longest-secondary-award secondary three times! You got to give me something!

i submitted my secondary on 8/22 and havent been rejected, does this mean i was possibly spared from the recent rejection wave?
 
This is just pure speculation, but I'm thinking Georgie (if not all schools) are weeding the high stats people before they get to me..🤔🤔
