Gotcha! That was actually my plan this cycle, but I opted to retake my MCAT earlier.

For someone in his position I would probably wait until the next cycle to apply. By the time he gets his new MCAT back (in February) I feel like it would be incredibly late. I would call Howard to see if his new score would be considered, though.

I'm assuming that the score would be considered due to the fact that they do accept the January dates. He did call and they said they take the January exams. He just wants to know if it's really worth it, if Howard would actually accept someone with that exam date. I'm just not too sure how to advise him either, it seems like a gamble to me :/

Is that minimum MCAT 492 to be "competitive or to be eligible. I hope that makes sense. Because there has been people accepted with below a 3.0 so I'm wondering if that applies to MCAT

494 is the minimum according to their website.

I mean that's not really answering my question. I know it says minimum I'm asking is that the minimum to be considered competitive. You know how some schools like meharry say you should have a minimum 3.5 to be considered competitive but they take less than 3.5. Does that make sense

ETA: I'm actually not sure. On another section of the website they say in order to be competitive you'll need a 494+

Hey everyone! So excited to talk to people that share my goal. I submitted my secondary about 2 weeks ago but got no email confirmation. However, when I check the actual website for the secondary, it says that my application is complete and the fee is paid. Anyone else having this issue?

Hey, I submitted my secondary on 9/30 and just received email confirmation today that they have completely screened my secondary application. Now its time to just wait for a hopeful interview response. I love D.C, good luck to you all!

Correct. Even though 494 is the minimum, 502 was the average, so I'm guessing scores around that would be more likely to receive an interview

II yesterday (10/14)! LizzyM 65. Higher MCAT, lower GPA. Complete late August. Interview dates 10/26 or 11/02. Confirmed for 10/26! First interview...a little nervous, but mostly excited!

So sad I haven't heard anything yet. Complete 8/29. URM with above average MCAT/cGPA but very low sGPA. I'm from DC and pass by Howard often...
