Way to go! Were you "under review" or "on hold" before receiving II?

Does anyone know if NYMC is lenient/strict about their science LOR? wondering if I should give them a call...

FWIW, My app was marked as complete/under review prior to my non-science faculty letter being uploaded to my app.

Thanks much for the reply, I actually got an email from them stating that one of my letters won't be considered as a science LOR, and none of my science profs are getting back to me (non-trad here)

I'll try giving them a call if there's another option, and if not I guess I'll have to forgo NYMC *sob*

I'm surprised to hear this. I'm also a non-trad and when I asked about letters, I was told that any three academically oriented letters (e.g. science or non-science) were fine for anyone who graduated prior to 2014.

I am a non-trad as well and this was indeed on their secondary instructions.

Are they pretty receptive of phone calls asking about letters of recommendation? I had an additional letter sent a few weeks ago (through AMCAS) but it has not updated on my portal and I wasn't sure if I should call and double check they got it - it's an additional science letter I was able to get from a faculty member since I am not a recent grad.

Same exact thing happened to me. I ended up calling and they said that they had it and just had not updated it on the portal yet. They updated it immediately when I called. They were very receptive!

Thanks!

To check your status on the portal, does anyone else have to click through the secondary application again to get to the last page? My status page still isn't complete even though all my materials including CASPer have been submitted long ago.

No I don't. When I go to the log in page and hit continue it goes right to the application status page.

I was told that for graduate students a LOR from the program must be submitted by January. Does anyone know if I can still receive an II, or not until this letter is submitted?

This happened to me after I set chrome to remember my password but hand-typing the URL gets you to it and you don't have to click through:

I submitted my secondary 30 days ago, so I emailed them yesterday to ask why I wasn't complete yet. They emailed me back today and finally marked me complete. Wish I would've emailed them sooner, instead of having my app untouched for a month.

I was complete here 7/8 and took CASPer 7/26 and still have yet to hear back for a II or a hold. Should I give them a call?

If you do let us know! Do they say that you should expect to hear back by a certain time? Not at my computer right now
I mean, there is nothing about hearing back by a certain time. I usually don't like to call and bother. So I may hold back til the end of the month.
