According to MSAR, CCOM interviewed 293 OOS applicants (out of 3,119 verified applications) and 49 matriculated. The OOS waitlist is also 100 applicants long, suggesting that - among those granted an interview - OOSers have a >50% chance at either an acceptance or waitlist.Does anyone know what percent of OOS applicants are accepted?

In your opinion, what has been the most difficult part of the pre-clinical curriculum?Just an FYI, if you have any questions about the pre-clinical curriculum - I would be happy to answer them.
Congrats my friend! Best of luck to you! If you have any questions concerning the II feel free to PM me.MY FIRST II! wooo
In your opinion, what has been the most difficult part of the pre-clinical curriculum?
Was the adjustment from ugrad difficult? It has been time consuming, but manageable, and I would say that sentiment prevails among my friends. I think time management is the most challenging aspect - balancing lecture material and anatomy lab with small groups and their associated assignments.
I'll echo what @Cawolf has said and note that there's quite a bit of time that goes into managing the multiple strands of the new curriculum. Personal accountability and responsibility is a MUST as each student has our individualized schedule when it comes to lecture, small group meetings, and Early Clinical Experiences. You learn to accept that one week you will be dropping the ball in anatomy in exchange for studying more for a biochemistry exam. Sometimes it's a catch up game, but overall I am happy with the curriculum and don't feel overly burdened! In your opinion, what has been the most difficult part of the pre-clinical curriculum?
Many of us, myself included, took some time in between. From those who came straight in, the adjustment has been to their studying strategies and accepting that you cannot learn all of the material presented to us. It's more getting to know what is high yield. Was the adjustment from ugrad difficult?

Right back at ya amigoI was out of school for some time and then did a post-bac before matriculating. So I may not be the best reference there.
Shouldn't you be off SDN right now? 😏
It's super laid-back. Just imagine sitting in a room with friends, playing a game where you are trying to figure out the puzzle. You either win or lose as a team.Any info about the Case-Based Learning section of interviewing?
I need Iowa to just send me an II (my first one) so that I can show full commitment to them.
😡 c'mon, I swear I'm easy to get along with

If you have the money then why not. But it is really late to be submitting secondaries. Really though what do I know.Is it too late to submit my secondary here as an OOS? My stats are below their average but I have tons of great research experience

Hoping the best for you my friend! You never know eh.I applied to 40 programs and haven't gotten any interviews so I guess I'll go ahead and send this one in considering how random/non linear this process can be at times, hoping for the best!
If you haven't gotten interviews from 40 programs, it seems unlikely (though not impossible) that you'll get one by adding 1 program. It might be wise to save your money this year and reapply next. That said, I'll echo @GoCubsGo20; if money is not a problem, and you don't foresee it being a problem next cycle should reapplication prove necessary, there's nothing wrong with applying to CCOM last-minute.I applied to 40 programs and haven't gotten any interviews so I guess I'll go ahead and send this one in considering how random/non linear this process can be at times, hoping for the best!
