Does anyone think it would be detrimental to send an email or call about my app status after a II? It's been around 4 weeks since my interview and I remember them saying we should call if we haven't heard back.

At my interview they told us to wait at least 5 weeks before giving them a call regarding the admission status so I'd prob just give it another week before contacting them.

If they gave a time frame in which you should hear back, it is acceptable to contact them if that time frame passes. If they didn't mention a specific time frame, I'd give them another week or two (especially with the holidays coming up).

Does anyone know if they are still interviewing folks for this school? I applied late (mid-Septemberish) but my understanding was that they interview a large percentage of in-state students so I figured I might still have a shot.

Same situation here. Got into one of my top 3 choices and got an interview from another school in my top 3. However, UW-Madison is my dream school (and it's my state school too). I guess no news yet is good news but I think they offer interviews until late December?

I am fairly certain that interview invites are stilling being sent out. I'm not involved in that process though so I can't say for sure.

EDIT: I have heard that less interview invites will be sent out this year because this year's M1 class was overfilled by quite a bit, so dozens of those applicants were deferred for admission next fall as part of your entering class. Obviously this leaves less spots to be filled by this year's applicants. They offered the same amount of acceptances as usual last year but they unexpectedly had a much higher percentage of those students decide to attend UWSMPH. There was absolutely zero waitlist movement last year because of this, which is highly unusual as the in-state waitlist typically moves 10-20 spots.

I have heard this as well. One of my friends took the deferral scholarship and she said it was around 20 people who were asked to defer. So I'm guessing there are 20 less spots this year? Not 100% positive, but just my thoughts.

I received an II last week 11/17 for an interview on 01/06/17.
Complete with receipt on 10/03
OOS (undergrad in WI though)

So yes, they are still giving out IIs. Hope that helps!

Great, congrats and thank you! Did you get the II via email? I'm just making sure I know where I should be looking.

Yep, via email. Then you have to reply and confirm that you can make the date. Good luck, I'm certain you'll hear back very soon!

Anyone interviewed mid October still waiting to hear back? 🙂

Yes! Interviewed early October. Not too worried about it because I'm sure they're still making decisions as they interview more people.
You're probably right! 😀 At my interview, they said 4-6 weeks wait so I was getting a little worried that the snail mail might have gotten lost.

Rejected earlier this week. Complete early/mid August, OOS. Best of luck to those remaining in the running!

Accepted! Interviewed on 11/4, apparently they called me last week and I missed it.

OOS ~74 LizzyM, strong ECs that fit mission, mother's family roots in Wisconsin (although I never lived there)

PS: For everybody who interviewed on 11/4, I thought you were a super chill group and hope you also get in/have gotten in!

Rejected today, pre- II.OOS with no connection to Wisconsin. Completed in early September. Best of luck to everyone!

Congrats! Did you get an email?

Did you get the mail today if you don't mind me asking? Also interviewed 11/4 but no news yet 🙁.
Yeah it came today. Not my favorite result obviously, but I actually feel I would miss the city of Madison more than UWSMPH. Here's to other options working out....

I am pulling for you! Hang in there! Honestly, I think my interviewer did me in, she asked me pretty ridiculous questions and it was not conversational at all. I felt like I was being grilled while everyone else said their interviews were "so fun". LOL

Oh dear I interviewed that day too! *frantically checks out window for mailman*

For those who were accepted, how did you reply to their offer? I think my letter went to my parents' mailbox and it's far from where I'm at. 🙁

Maybe have your parents mail it to you so that you can sign it and send it in to them? They give you 3 weeks to respond so that should be enough time. Or have your parents scan it into the computer and email it to you, then you print it off, sign it, and mail it in.

Accepted to UWSMPH 5 days ago!! Absolutely love the school! Interviewed 11/11! Interview was a piece of cake and everyone I met was bright and friendly! Definitely one of my top choices. I'm a first time applicant from CA with no connections to Wisconsin.
