I was accepted by 10AM the next day. I saw quite a few people on this thread receive their acceptances/ decisions within a day as well.

When did you interview?
Interviewed 11/15, accepted 11/16. If you're applying MD/PhD it takes longer to hear. I didn't get my acceptance to the MSTP until 1/2.

I think (completely unsure) that UB started taking longer to respond once they moved to the new med school. May be wishful thinking since I haven't heard but I heard from others it may take longer and at the interview they said 2-3 weeks.
Ah quite possible. They told us at our interviews that we'd hear the next day so they must still be busy with the move.

It seems like I’m the only IS applicants who wasn’t invited for an interview smh!! Complete early July. Any pre II rejections yet?

Also IS, complete July, Rs from two of our state schools and silence from the other two (including Buffalo)
Instate re-applicant. II today for late March. Complete late July.
Basically the same as the standard interview but your day starts earlier. There are two additional interviews, one of which is with Dr. Laychock, the head of the program. They'll also arrange for you to meet with a potential PI based on who you said you were interested in.

Yes! It's been a long wait. I was complete at the same time. I've heard that Buffalo randomly reads applications rather than reading first-come, first-served. Can anyone comment on the validity of this?
Can confirm, based on my understanding, they look at applications randomly so that submission time is not a factor in gauging applications.

They stratify apps based on GPA and MCAT into different groups, then they review apps randomly.
I interviewed a week and a day ago. They said we'd hear back within 3-4 weeks at the presentation. Did they say the same to you? I think they might have changed their review policy or schedule since moving to the new building.
Some MS1s said they heard the next day but we were not really told anything officially.
Second interviewer yesterday told me we’d know the next morning, but he could have been misinformed or unaware of the delays
Nope, nothing yet. I don't remember one of the admissions committee members giving us an official estimate yesterday - only thing was the students who were saying we would hear back the next day...
Just found out that I was accepted! Interviewed last Wednesday, OOS 🙂

Yup. Love the supportive atmosphere. Also, pretty close to my family and Buffalo is the right size city for me: not big enough to be overwhelming, but big enough to find cool things to do with the very limited/non-existent free time I'll have

Accepted but it isn't my top choice. I am from New York City and at times, even NYC is too cold for me. Buffalo is WAY too cold for my liking.

Also, having lived in both NYC and Buffalo, I find the weather is really exaggerated. Sure, it's cold, but you're not walking down city blocks for 20-30 minutes like you would in NYC. The most I walk outside is from a building to its parking lot.
I'd hope that the people who truly hate Buffalo understand that there are many people dying to have that spot.

Hate is a strong word. I don't hate any medical school/location and I am grateful for every acceptance/interview.

Does anyone know when orientation week and white coat ceremony is? Also does anyone know when the student housing weekend is?
Was just on their webpage. Looks like housing weekend is sometime in June, and orientation is second week of August!
Someone on here reported a post II R on the first day decisions came out. At my interview rosso also did say there are 3 possible outcomes post II
I didn't and got accepted.
I don't think it matters much, I just wanted to send one as common courtesy but can't remember their names.
By the time I logged in to send thank yous, I already had the acceptance email. Sent them anyway and told my interviewers that I was accepted 🙂
I believe they stop interviewing around April.
Thank you for the feedback. Good to know what schools I should start to discount by this point.

I haven't received any financial aid info yet and I submitted my FAFSA a couple of months ago. And after the first year you apply for instate tuition, you have to apply for it though and the forms and requirements are online.
