I’m referring to the list in general regardless of day of interview. I don’t know how many people are on the waitlist, but from comments on this page, it seems like most are going on the high priority list. Unless you happen to be top of the list, this doesn’t like it will lead to an acceptance.

So i have financial aid info in portal... has anyone been notified of that yet? Wondering if what it shows is complete?

I mean calling it HPA is a misnomer. It's really just a normal waitlist. As someone said theres between 150-200 people on that list. Sounds just like a normal waitlist, nothing "high priority" about it.

I asked the financial aide reps yesterday at the exhibition table and they said the package you have is pretty much it and only 1 in a 100 students would change if someone they gave a scholarship to decides to decline.

Sure but in May, not now. Plus the odds of the 100th person is very low, which again is what is high priority about this at all. If the list was about 25-30 people, I would view it was something, but its just a normal waitlist.

Anyone interested in splitting a 2bd off campus? I'm an incoming OOS MSI from California trying to establish NY residency as soon as possible. I am willing pay extra to secure a place before demand for decent off campus housing spikes up before the school year. I'm a pretty low maintenance roommate, social when I have time, and will have a car up there if you'd like to tag along for groceries trips. Must be LGBTQ friendly.

If any current students are reading this, please feel free to refer me to a housing network if it already exists! Any tips on neighborhoods would be appreciated too. Thanks y'all!

Check out the Westcott St area. Euclid is a lot of undergrads with lots of partying.

You can check Orange Housing. But i have some other options DM if you need more options
 
Just withdrew my application. Upstate was great, but it was not my best fit. I wish those of you on the WL good luck!
 
Just withdrew my acceptance. Was a tough decision, but decided to go elsewhere. Hope one of you gets it!
 
Withdrew today! Upstate had some of the chillest people I've met on the interview trail, so it was hard to turn this place down. Really the hidden gem of the SUNY system imo.

Hope it goes to one of you guys!

how did you withdraw? sorry I've been searching my upstate and haven't found anything

No, they definitely said you can ask them in mid-May. It's in the email that told us we're on the waitlist.

So about the HPA...they told me it's very early in the process, but they typically reach a little beyond my position. No guarantees. I'm hopeful because in last year's thread, there's a bunch of people who got the same prediction as me and were accepted in June. So that's cool.

Rooting for you! I’m pretty sure you were at my Buffalo interview, which was one of the funnier/weirder ones I’ve experienced haha

Out of curiosity, did they say anything about clinical campus for third year? I remember them saying that if you're accepted July/August and have indicated you'd accept a spot at either campus, you're just assigned to the one where there's an opening unless you elect to keep waiting. I'm not sure if there's any more of an attempt made to match people with their preferred campus if accepted off the waitlist earlier, though?
 
Congrats all!! I was told they got to my spot in previous years and to call back towards the end of June/beginning of July and they'd know more. Yeah.. I'm thinking it isn't good.

Yes in the email they sent they said I was accepted to the Binghamton campus, I'm not sure if they try to give people earlier in the list their preference or not since Binghamton was my preferred campus.

Accepted off of HPA today. Call and email.

As for the campus question, yes they said I was accepted to a certain campus. As I recall they're only accepting based on your preference at this point but later on they will call you no matter what and ask if you'll take whatever they have available.
