OOR applicant here. Submitted mission statement in July with no secondary and low key have given up on this school
 
Rejected from the MSTP, it was a gigantic reach. Note: they rejected me via physical mail, just to give me two heart attacks. I digress, I wish everyone the best of luck this cycle - especially you aspiring physician scientists!
 
OOR, rejected pre-secondary, mission statement completed 7/26
 
my friend got rejected post-secondary MSTP. still hoping we both get IIs for MD only!
 
And.....rejection! At least you saved me the cost of sending you a secondary, UW Adcom. As for you AMCAS, I hope you enjoy my $38 donation! CA resident and nontrad w/ average stats in case anyone cares lol

Sorry to hear 🙁 when were you complete? I haven't heard anything since submitting my mission statement

Complete in mid-July...definitely not surprised since I'm OOR, nevertheless, it still stings a tad as it's my first ever official med school rejection.
 
Can anybody please shed light on how they wrote a 250 word autobiography with such limited space?

Did you include the full time course from your upbringing until now? Did you focus on specific events? Did you focus on what activities you were involved in, your mental/emotional growth, the communities/people you were surrounded with, or something else?

If my family live in WAMI and are a permanent resident there is that a strong connection and I want to go back and live there and work there? I'm out of region

It doesn't hurt to try. It's an inexpensive secondary fee. Maybe email them and bring that to their attention. And maybe don't use your avatar photo for your medical school mug shot you submit 😉. lol

LOL. Obviously not. I'm putting that in my mission statement prompt, will that suffice? Or should I email them?

You must be considered in state. You get IIs for MD only if you are considered in state by this university.

I have a question to those who received email from them with extra prompt about how you meet the school's vision: Are you an out of state MD applicant, or are you an out of state MD-PhD applicant?I am trying to figure out. Thanks

Her rejection was actually a few weeks ago, 08/08!
Yeah, UW is one of those schools that actually is considerate enough to give people rejection letters, so yes, no news is good news 🙂
 
With how these rejections are going... I guess I should prepare myself for mine.. Just got the receipt email today. Verified yesterday.

I feel the exact same way. I wish they didn't send them through snail mail though.

I don't even live where they will send my rejection... I have to travel to another state to get that letter... Not looking forward to that...
 
Is anyone still waiting to get the secondary application... Submitted preliminary like a month ago
