It shows up in the communication part of the portal under the title "Review is complete"Do you only receive an email for the interview invitation or does it also show up under the communication status on the UWSOM application portal we used for the secondaries?
Received an II 8/28, still no date assignedHas anyone that received the II been given a date yet? I know for Seattle they begin on Oct. 2, and they said we'd find out 3-4 weeks in advance. I put down no preference for the site, so maybe I am interviewing in spokane.

Yes and SeattleAre you a WA resident? If so, may I ask what you put down for your site preference?
IS resident here. Spokanistan. They interview only 100 applicants for 60 seats. I don't remember what Seattle is, but it's much more competitive (interviewed:accepted ratio) to get accepted if you interview there. Plus Spokane is better weather and a lot cheaper cost of living. Maybe you won't be able to live out your Grey's Anatomy fantasy, but you'll only be there for the first two years anyway. 😛Are you a WA resident? For the sake of friendly e-argument, I would say Seattle is the place to be given the presence of Fred Hutch, Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, et al (given my interests anyway)!IS resident here. But we'll get to live out our Scrubs fantasy at Sacred Heart!IS resident here. Spokanistan. They interview only 100 applicants for 60 seats. Definitely if you're talking rotations, but those are the second two years. You can do your foundation stuff in Spokane and rotations there still. UW has over 300 affiliates. As a point of reference, some schools have 3 or 4. Sure Seattle is a big city with lots to do, and maybe I'm jaded living there my whole life, but you'll likely be busy studying anyway and Seattle is becoming very expensive and gentrified from Amazon and Google. UW is going to be great wherever you because all those affiliations will be open to you. Want to do Fred Hutch? Psych at the VA? Harborview burn center? Go to Alaska and work with Inuit Tribes? Rural health in Wyoming? It's all there. For the sake of friendly e-argument, I would say Seattle is the place to be given the presence of Fred Hutch, Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, et al (given my interests anyway)!
Quick question, has any OOR applicants received a secondary after submitting the mission statement yet. I submitted my mission statement essay on 8/6 and haven't heard a thing so far.
the secondary and their website have the stats, and they were discussed a few posts up.This may seem like a weird question perhaps, but if you get an interview here, does that mean you are fairly close to an acceptance, as long as you dont blow your interview? Or not necessarily? I am not sure if there are any actual washington students on this forum or not.
impressive, congratsWoah, II! Was not expecting this, but applied anyways because my sister recently transferred to a university in Seattle.
OOS (like, Oklahoma resident), MCAT 525, c/sGPA 3.75/3.68. I do have some ties to the state, which I mentioned in the secondary, so that might have helped! No date assigned, and my preference was Seattle.
Got placed on pre-interview hold for the MSTP yesterday, 9/11. Complete 8/29. LizzyM 82. Better than a flat out rejection, but still bittersweet. They said I'm "highly placed" on the hold list, but who knows what that really means- any advice from people put on hold in the past?
I and at least one other person got that same message in early August. No change yet.
seattle or spokane? (guessing seattle) but why not throw up some dates for other curious cats.Just got emailed to set up the interview date (II a few weeks ago)
Seattle, two dates (both in the first week of October).seattle or spokane? (guessing seattle) but why not throw up some dates for other curious cats.
Are there any former students here that can give some guidance for interview day?

II! OOR.
Reading over the threads from last couple years, apparently about 30ish people are accepted from the wait list on average.
The UW admissions website states they accepted 288 WWAMI folks. Now is that 288 including the wait list acceptances or is that just the initial number of acceptances offered in March?
I've looked up elsewhere but can't seem to find the answer.
Anyone else applying MSTP? Portal got updated to say "A status update will be mailed to the address provided on your MSTP application." I'm guessing this is a rejection... I looked at past discussions of people asking what that means but no one ever updated forums with an actual answer. Any info is appreciated
Complete 6 weeks ago and nothing yet.IS: complete 4 weeks ago, no news from UW. Anyone else in the same boat?
What do you make of it? Does it mean our application is put on hold or somethingComplete 6 weeks ago and nothing yet.
I don't know if any interviews have gone out since end of August. I don't care to speculate. What do you make of it? Does it mean our application is put on hold or something
YES. Other than moving out-of-state for graduate school (this is my second year), WA has been my home since day 1.IS applicant, had to verify my residency..anyone else? Not sure if it was because I have moved around a lot, but I've also gone to UW for undergrad so I thought it was strange. Still waiting on residency to be verified (which could take up to 6 weeks)...and then my app to be reviewed...

If anyone from a WWAMI state other than Washington did NOT apply to the TRUST program, could you please share your reasons for not doing so? Do most people from the rural WWAMI states (Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, and Idaho) end up filling out the optional TRUST application? If you apply to TRUST and end up not being considered for TRUST, but are still under consideration for a regular WWAMI seat, do they take your TRUST application into consideration when deciding if they are going to interview you for the regular program?
I have heard it said that whether or not you apply to TRUST has no bearing on your odds of acceptance one way or the other, but I do not think this is really possible. The fact is, TRUST applicants have several more essays for the admissions committee to consider, so it is an opportunity for them to get to know applicants better. Plus, if you expressed interest in primary care and practicing in the WWAMI region in your application, but then do not apply to TRUST, they might question your sincerity and commitment to working in an underserved rural area. Again, the official word is that this is not the case, but you cannot unring a bell.
