I am welcomed back into eternal purgatory with 80% of the applicants. No, I didn’t had my coffee today, I should have inferred that. #holdbuddies
Yes, I would think the on-hold email is better.Do we think it's better to receive an "on-hold" email, or no email at all?![]()
Wait why? Generally it seems like holds are bad. Are they good at this school?Yes, I would think the on-hold email is better.
I received no hold email, and received an II yesterday when I was complete on 7/11. I saw people receiving hold emails and II weeks ago with my complete date so I'd say no news is good news.Do we think it's better to receive an "on-hold" email, or no email at all?![]()

If the original poster of the question wanted to find concrete answers, I'd recommend looking through last year's thread to see the number of people who went from hold --> II to gauge whether a hold is "good" or "bad"But at least on hold means they've looked at your application. I've been completed since 7/18 and have been listed as "ready" ever since.
Drexel is one of the lowest yield schools. They get ~14k applications every year. Putting us on-hold is pretty much a death sentence for the vast majority of us.Yes, I would think the on-hold email is better.
Have you done the CASPer test/submitted it to the school? So I submit my secondary here on 8/8 but it says my app isn't complete. Anyone else have this issue? Everything else has a green checkmark
Yes!Have you done the CASPer test/submitted it to the school?
They'll email you if you're placed on holdHow do I know whether or not I'm on hold? Under notes (in the app status) it just says "your application is ready." My app was complete in early August btw
In general you’d be considered ‘on time’. For this school, since it’s so low yield, I would say it’s not worth it to submit an app that late unless you have some wow factor to your appIs it too late to submit the secondary app? I just received it on Tuesday, and I am registered for the CASPer September 16th so they wont get my scores until October...
Congrats!! Complete date?First II two days ago!
OOS LM 67.
Updated Interview Info Spreadsheet (August 2018)
Here you go. 95% for 2018, 97% in-state (per US News, MSAR data is from 2 cycles ago)
Woah that’s a lot of II/ acceptanceslook at this link Medical Student Demographics - College of Medicine
653/1141 is more reasonable, US news probably inaccurate!
Did you get an email?Hold, completed 7/11
How receptive is drexel to reapplicants? I interviewed pretty late here and have been on the WL so idk if that will hurt me this time around or not.
YEP!Did you get an email?
Was wondering if anyone has interviewed at this school yet. How was interview day? Also current students, how do you like the school? Curiosity is killing me. Thanks!

I can’t imagine any school having a 95% post II acceptance rateIt does seem reasonable, considering that's data from 2016 (Class of 2020). Not sure why US World News reported a 95% post-II acceptance rate for this year but it's been accurate for all the past years when comparing its data to both MSAR and the drexel.edu data, so I'd say the 95% is completely correct.
Here's to hoping it'll be the same for this year!
Let’s be optimistic mkay? 😉I can’t imagine any school having a 95% post II acceptance rate

Were you part of the new all PBL? Or was your curriculum a bit different? How about how was interview day for you specifically and what drew you to Drexel over other schools?Looks like first interview day is 9/12
I am a current student (MS3), so my path is a bit different because of the new curriculum, but do you have any specific questions?
And i like the school! The faculty is wonderful and so welcoming and that helped me so much.

I think the first interview is next week. I am interviewing here last week and did last cycle as well. I thought the interview day was fine. You usually have lunch with a M1 so its kinda hard to get info from someone who just started and you arent able to ask about quality of clinicals and how the school sets you up for STEP. You do get some downtime during the interview (30 min iirc) so if you wanna bring a book or just chill with the other interviewees. Also you get a free shirt. The intro is done via a video of the Dean of Curriculum and then there is a rep who is there to answer questions. The actual interviews were pretty laid back and the group interview is really just you talking to the student over lunch. Was wondering if anyone has interviewed at this school yet. How was interview day? Also current students, how do you like the school? Curiosity is killing me. Thanks!
