Interviewed today. Super chill. Feel free to ask questions
I know this might be a weird question, but was religion brought up at all? I know that they make it known that they are a Jesuit school, but was it pretty prominent or was it more of a casual thing? I just wanna get a general impression of the school.

It was not brought up aside from one lecture that all Loyola students take on the topic of Catholic Bioethics. Aside from that they recognize that not all applicants are Catholic or even Christian.

However, the Jesuit values regardless of religious undertones are a big part of the mission obviously, but you’re not gonna get quizzed.

Complete email today! Hoping for some luv from Loyola!! One of my top choices!!

Submitted secondary on 7/31 and sent update letter today. Hopefully I hear back soon!

I've been under review since 7/10, can't tell if this is worse or better than being put on hold...thoughts?

I submitted the secondary on 7/3 and received a complete and under review e-mail on 7/7.
Wait they sent you an email once you were under review? I just got an email on 7/4 saying I was complete and my application will enter the review process.

I’m a current student so I can talk about my experience. Religion is not brought up. Loyola is a very inclusive community and student body is very diverse, not a lot of Catholics. There’s mass occasionally and everyone’s invited but no one’s required to go. We only had 1 lecture about catholic bioethics and its stuff that you should know because these are the bioethics principles that are followed at the hospital. They talk a lot about the Jesuit values but these are not religious what so ever, they are basically service oriented... I hope this helps.

It was one e-mail that looked like this "Your file is complete and currently undergoing a review by our committee." Just a basic complete e-mail.

Anyone know if Loyola does In the Area interviews? Thank you!

I emailed them earlier this month and they replied saying that they would send my request to the admissions team, so they do accept ITA emails. Nothing came of my request, but they might have just not planned on interviewing me :/

They have so many applicants so I'm sure it's unlikely in my case too. We could get interviewed later though. Best of luck!!

I’m a current student, you can ask me questions too if you’d like. Good luck if you’re interviewing soon!!

Do you or any of your friends have experience with the Ignatian Service Immersion opportunities or the community and global health honors program? Seems really awesome and would love to hear about some personal experiences with the programs!

I've been complete since 7/6, 517 MCAT, 3.88 GPA, 3.87 BCPM, and I haven't heard anything yet? It still says that I'm going under review, does anyone know what the difference is between being on hold and under review as far as potential for an interview?

Anybody who has IIs know how far out they are scheduling? Im planning on sending an ITA for right after Thanksgiving because Ill be in town for a conference

Not yet, sorry- I’m an M1. ISI trips are usually in the summer between first and second year, we have an info session next week so I will have more info by then. I think the global health info sesh is tomorrow. So just shoot me a message next week and I’ll hopefully have more to tell you. Sorry that wasn’t very helpful!
