Been complete since July 30 and no word. Do they hold off rejecting people until the end of the cycle

anyone remembers if the school was receptive to updates? I get the feeling they said they don't, but just need someone to confirm
At my interview, I think they said they won't take updates, but can anyone else confirm?I sent them an update through email in September and they said they updated my file. Still no word though.
I believe they said we had about a week post-interview to update them with any information and after that, they won't accept anything else.At my interview, I think they said they won't take updates, but can anyone else confirm?
If you scroll up/look at the last page someone was accepted in December after being put on the silent waitlist post interview (Oct).Anyone here been accepted off of the silent waitlist yet?
Or should I not expect any wait list movement until april /may?

Yup! Exactly. I’m on the silent waitlist too so I’m with you on this wait!Thank you!
For some reason I must have missed that.
They did say that they are slow to give out acceptances and understandably so, considering how small the class size is.
I would email admissions!Does UCR accept pre-II updates? I couldn't find anything on their website. Thank you!
Hey, accepted applicant here, just make sure to answer the question they are asking, don't ramble on if you don't know the answer. Be relaxed, its not super stressful, just talk with the interviewer. I always tried to give a ittle background in my answers so the interviewers knew I was from Riverside, did X at this hospital because I knew they would be familiar with the EC and ask about it. A lot of hem after I answered the question just asked me about myself, etc which stemmed from incorporating my demographics in my answerReceived an interview offer today. Haider applicant. Any unique interview features or tips to be shared would be appreciated.
What dates, for II, were available if you don't mind me asking?Received an interview offer today. Haider applicant. Any unique interview features or tips to be shared would be appreciated.
Okay, gotcha. Thank you for the insight!Based on the information in this thread and what Dr Simmons told us, about being careful not to overaccept this year, I would say it will be around 40-50% acceptance rate, that includes those who get pulled out of the waitlist.
Since they also will started to send out rejections this cycle (vs people getting either waitlisted or accepted in previous cycles), and we also have the new traffic day rules, I don't think anyone can tell you what's going to happen this year.
But I would expect some fair amount of waitlist movement after May 1st.
Congrats!!Just got accepted!!! Had an interview on 1/5. Good luck to everyone!
Congratulations! Do you mind me asking when you were complete and whether you were a Haider applicant or not? Finally got an interview invite last Wednesday!

Hi I am interviewing here next month and was wondering if anyone had any advice or tips?? Please message me! This is my only MD interview this cycle and I want to crush it!
Congratulations! When did you interview?accepted
Nice! Congrats. Do you mind sharing when you were complete and if youre a Haider applicant?
I made a long post a few pages ago (around October - November). I would also recommend practicing MMI’s questions in front of a mirror. Do around 10 and try to find questions that also have answers with them. I also read part 1&2 of this article which helped me tremendously! https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.studentdoctor.net/2016/11/01/advice-from-20-interviews-part-1/amp/Hi I am interviewing here next month and was wondering if anyone had any advice or tips?? Accepted! Over the moon excited! (Interviewed waaaaaaay back in Sept; Long wait - totally worth it.)
This gives me hope lol, huge congrats!!Accepted! Over the moon excited! (Interviewed waaaaaaay back in Sept; Long wait - totally worth it.) By email late this morning (PST)
It was my first interview, so probably could have gone better, though I do think I am a solid interviewer (this is my first R post interview and I have 3 A's). I definitely think that UCR values fit more than the interview, and I'm not from the IE.Those of you who got R’s, how did your interview go?
Did anyone just get the invite from Dean Simmons to the dinner taking place on campus next week? And does anyone know the significance of this dinner?
If you’re close by then I say go 🙂 I don’t have a decision yet, so maybe I should go lolI got the email a few weeks ago and then a call from Dean Simmons today asking if I was attending because I hadn't RSVP'd. lol. She said they've invited all accepted and waitlisted students, as well as current students, staff, etc. I think it's just to celebrate the work the SOM has done in the community, and to engage with community members.
Is anyone going to attend? I'm still trying to decide
I never got an email about a dinner and I was accepted last month :/ I wonder why
I was accepted last week and didn’t get this email or phone call :O I wonder if they only invite certain applicants?

I had a really bad toothache during the interview so that may have hindered my performance. Overall I thought that I did ok though. I'm from the IE and thought that I was a really good fit for the mission. Sent updates and LOI. 3.7 GPA 513 MCAT. Congrats on everyone who made it though. Guess I'll try again next year. Those of you who got R’s, how did your interview go?
