2018-2019 University of Washington

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I think that we are still within a normal range. It seems like next week is when the bulk of early August applicants should hear back. I don't think there is reason to panic yet.
I hope so. UW is my first choice! Best of luck to you!

II today!
In state re-applicant: 3.7, 517. I was complete around the end of July

Congrats you guys! 🙂 Nothing here yet for me. 🙁
Patience young padawan there is plenty of time. Consider I was verified 9/20 and didn't get an interview until 11/6 last time. So you are still plenty early!

Thanks for the positivity! Good luck with your interview and the rest of the cycle! I'm excited for all of you on here, especially the reapplicants!

First II of the cycle for me at my dream school! IS, 3.91 GPA 510 MCAT. Complete on 7/23 and hoping to snatch on of the interview spots in October-November.

Has anybody who submitted primaries on or after 08/27 receive supps/ secondaries?

OOR II earlier today!!! This is my dream school and I can't believe I got an interview. Still blown away. LM 72. Complete early August.

Rejected presecondary today. Thought I had an alright chance as OOS, but I guess 18 years in Idaho wasn't a strong enough tie ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Good luck everyone!

Did you receive a rejection letter/email?

II earlier and just received an email to schedule. However, there is an "upload photo" tab, without any way to upload a photo. Anyone else have this issue?

IS ID applicant here. Received my secondary 2 weeks ago and submitted yesterday. I’m still needing to verify my residency which shouldn’t be hard because I’ve been working full time since August. Am I super late?

OOR, rejected pre-secondary today. Complete 8/20ish. I have like tiny ties to Seattle so I replied to the email to mention it but I'm most likely just going to take this L. Figured I'd update for people trying to figure out where the adcom is in reviewing.

My app status on the portal changed to complete a couple days ago, but I haven't gotten a complete email. Did anyone else experience waiting days (or longer) from complete on portal to complete email? thanks!

II! OOR and received it on September 14th. Over the moon about this invite. As mentioned above, the email says, "I will receive an email 3-4 weeks in advance that will contain information about scheduling your interview." I'm a current Peace Corps Volunteer, so I'll have to schedule an international flight and am trying to group all of my interviews together to avoid having to make multiple flights back to the states. Do you all think it is appropriate to contact them now about this or should I wait a little longer? I'm hoping to schedule the interview in November.

Congrats! In this case, it cant hurt to message them and explain your situation. Everyone in the admissions offices is helpful and they deal with special cases all the time.

II September 5th, and just got the email to schedule the interview today!

What are your stats?

Just got verified as an ID resident. It was the last step for me before being complete. It’ll probably be a month before I hear back right?

I've heard 4-6 weeks, which is in line with my own experiences with UW. I'm sure there's some variation though!

4-6 weeks for interview right?

They interview one week in January and one week in February. They try to let you know at least one month in advanced that they want you to interview. They will probably get back to you by mid November though and you’ll be looking at the January interview dates.

Edit: You definitely could hear back earlier than that, just to be clear.

I know this is a long shot, but I wanted to hear someone's opinion on this. I am an Idaho resident (LizzyM: 72), and have not submitted my AMCAS application this cycle because I did not think I would meet the shadowing requirement for UW (turns out I was recently able to). Would it be too late/a bad idea to complete the application and apply to just regional schools this cycle, Utah and Washington?

Huh. Weird! I was marked complete July 25th, thought it was supposed to be chronological. Dang. A crapshoot as usual! Congrats on scheduling, best of luck!!
I think its based on when you got your II not when you're marked complete but I'm not positive.

I don’t think so. Looking back on the thread I’d gotten my II before that, but there’s no point in analyzing! I’m just being impatient, shocker! Hah!

This is my first SDN post! My status page says that I submitted my application on 8/13 and under "Application Complete" it says "Your application is ready."

I haven't heard anything about needing to confirm my residential address. Is that a problem?

I listed myself as a resident of WA, but I have been going to college out of state for a few years now.

I think it kind of depends. Do you feel like you have a strong application? Is it ready to submit right this second? Will you be able to turn around your secondaries asap and prove your residency just as fast? If the answer to any of these are no, I would consider holding off.
