Were you uploading to the portal? I submitted some of the pre-matric checklist items last week by uploading to the portal and reached out to them after 3 days when I saw people say theirs was confirmed the day of. They then emailed me and confirmed my items in the portal and checked it off. Today, I submitted some of the health forms to the HSH email they give and saw they didn't check off anything/email back so I guess I will wait a couple of days.

Yea I uploaded to the portal but still don’t see the check on the list. I’ll probably send them an email in the next few days if it isn’t updated
 
When I emailed about the health forms, they attached a doc that asked for all forms scanned Into one pdf and sent to student health. I dont think they're accepting individual forms.

Yeah I submitted a single pdf, I just haven’t heard back but they are probably just busy
 
Hey guys, I have another question! For those with another A are you accepting the financial aid package or are you not supposed to accept it until you are committing and no longer want to be WL's?

Also, are we sure the verdict is fully online for the fall? Because more and more NY med schools are sending out emails that fall will be in person or a hybrid mix of online and in person. I'm wondering if any official notice has been sent out

Downstate hasn’t said anything. 100% sure SUNY/CUNY waiting for Cuomo’s orders..

Oooo Im hearing from some students that their first fall unit is online? Is that true im not sure? If so then our Unit 1 will be too. Can any current students confirm? And which other NY schools have already announced their fall plans?

Does anyone know if the NYS residency forms and supporting documents can be submitted via email, or is a hard copy required?

By any chance did you get this resolved? I also had this issue- I reached out this morning and am awaiting a response. Does anyone know if Financial Aid awards are posted to this Banner service portal or are delivered in some other way? Also, I did not receive that email about the different scholarships being discussed on this forum a few days back. Maybe this has something to do with applying for FAFSA late lol

Yes.

If your NetID still doesn’t work call ‭(718) 270-4357‬ . They help you create a new password and it works after that
 
Thanks so much! Called and was told to wait until Monday because they do not have authorization to provide access yet.
Just to clarify - does receiving this credential email (NetID/temp pw) for the banner service site indicate that our financial aid information has processed and is now available for us to view? Or did you guys get a different email/some kind of notification that formally stated these financial aid details? Thanks in advance!

I got an email with the NetID and password, and then pretty soon after got a message saying the financial aid was processed. Everything will be shown on the banner self-service. They will not email you with the info.

AL movement continues up and through to orientation every year. It slows down, you may not see it on SDN, but every year people get off the AL in July and even early August.

Definitely rough out there but chin-up folks! Of course definitely not saying to not be realistic and plan ahead accordingly.
 
How are accepted students sending their "official transcripts"? My undergrad sends transcripts through student clearinghouse. Should I have the company email it to DS admissions or should I have it sent to me and then forward to DS?

I remember someone posted about them accepting pdfs of official transcripts.

Does SUNY Downstate have an existing policy on how they deal with students arrested for protest related actions? I know some colleges specifically permit protest related arrests, or did for a period of time. I'm afraid to go out since I don't want to be arrested but I really want to help out as a street medic.
 
Hi guys! I need help. I have been having a TON of trouble accessing my financial aid stuff. I got an email with my banner ID and password to access financial aid info a week ago, which didnt work, so I called IT and they fixed it. Once I got into the portal, the pdf financial aid letter was inaccessible, and I got an error message. So I call IT again and they say to call back at other times because they don't know what to do and I should get another IT person. It has been a week and I don't even know the due date by which I need to accept/deny by. I emailed financial aid and they said they don't know my deadline, to email bursar. So I email bursar last week and get no answer...

So my question:
(1) Does anyone know what the 'due date' is for accepting or denying financial aid?

(2) (Why I haven't accepted immediately): Does accepting it commit you to the school? Or could I accept even though I'm PTE-ed without committing? I'm on a waitlist at 2 other schools (While I love downstate, the other schools are in locations better for my husband).

Hey, I've emailed the school about this and they said there's no real due date, but you should accept the funds 2 weeks prior to classes starting if you need them for your bill. Don't know about the 2nd question but it seems like you can wait until all waitlist movement is done mid-july to accept or not.
