They do. At least the schools I have interviewed at do.
Interesting, none of the schools that I interviewed at are like that as well except Wayne. Oh well, unfortunate all around I guess

And what’s the criteria for receiving one?How many full scholarships does Wayne give out?
It was an email! And a very short one at that! For those accepted, was it a call or an email (or both?)
Nope! I was about to send an update this weekend and began drafting it- never been so happy to trash something lolFor those accepted off the waitlist, did you send updates between the waitlist and now?
Did you find out today or yesterday?Accepted! OOS interviewed 12/20
Yes I found out last night 🙂Did you find out today or yesterday?
Congratulations! I was interviewed 12/20 too. Heard nothing from them yet.Accepted! OOS interviewed 12/20
Thank you! I was surprised to hear back this soon because I remember them saying we would hear back around February due to the holiday break. They have a huge amount of applicants to sort through so they may not have gotten to yours yet. Don't lose hope! I wish you the best of luck 🙂Congratulations! I was interviewed 12/20 too. Heard nothing from them yet.
Accepted! Interviewed 12/20, first MD acceptance 🙂
CorrectJust to make sure - accepting the offer of admission on the portal is not a commit to enroll, right?
Correct
I'm not sure what LM means 🙂

Does Wayne State offer in state tuition after the first year?
I would like to know this info as well! Wayne’s website doesn’t have a lot of detailed info. I do know that their grading is pass/fail though. Hopefully a current student can give us some insight! Can any current students comment about the curriculum? Like is it pass/fail, how much time for dedicated, etc. They're website is missing a lot of info, or maybe I just missed it.

Thanks. And it’s system based with foundations in the beginning, right? Also do you learn all of anatomy up front, or do you learn it piecemeal with each system? And is it the standard 2 yrs preclinical and 2 yrs clinical or did they condense it? Sorry for all the questions lol.Current M1. Congrats to everyone receiving acceptances and to those on the wait list, don't lose hope!
The Class of 2024 will be the 3rd class to move through the curriculum, so they have worked out the kinks with the new curriculum.
It is pass/fail.
12 weeks for dedicated, although most students do not take this long.
Don't apologize for the questions! More information the better when deciding which med school to attend! Thanks. And it’s system based with foundations in the beginning, right? Thank you so much!!! Is the NBME like the "final" for the unit? How do you feel about the professor-written exams? Do both professor-written and NBME exams factor into the grade equally? Sorry for all the questions; I appreciate it!You have 2-3 exams per unit, two are professor written (the histology and gross anatomy practicals) and one is past NBME questions that the professors have selected from a bank of questions as to best represent what is taught in the unit (and not just some random keyword-searched questions that are irrelevant)
There are also 'formative quizzes' that are optional study quizzes written by the professors, but they are not NBME-like questions so they are not so much as to prep you for the NBME but to make sure you are understanding the material as you go.
Congrats! Love the username hahaAccepted!!!!!!! My first acceptance! So excited
