Based on last year's prompts, I think one of the prompts ( ** see below) overlaps of MD/PhD. Not sure about MD. I think these are the prompts from last year, which have to be done in addition to the MD prompts.

Does anybody here know if getting an II to the University Program helps or hurts your chances of getting an II to the college program?

I appreciate the humor. I don't know. It just seems hard to belive that there isn't some form of communication between the programs.

I think I was in the first wave for CCLCM and have yet to hear from University so I'm hoping it's separate processes

Current CCLCM M4 here. In previous years, if one program made a decision to interview, they would let the other program know so if there was a potential interview from there too, the II would go out and the applicant could potentially have only one trip to Cleveland. 2 caveats: 1. I know this wasn't always the case for some of my classmates (IIs or other decisions came much later for one program than the other), so even then nothing's guaranteed. 2. With the switch to virtual interviews, this type of pre-II communication is less important so I'm not sure what's happening this year.

The other time I know that there's cross-program communication is that if CCLCM is prepared to make an acceptance, they shoot the names over to the university program admissions department for final approval. Generally it's just a rubber stamp, but I heard that in one case, an applicant said or did something inappropriate in their university program interview, so the potential acceptance at CCLCM was vetoed.

Other than that, the admissions processes are independent. Hope this helps and feel free to PM me with any questions!

Does anyone know how many interviews they give out and the number of students accepted? I can't seem to find that information anywhere. Thanks!

That's awesome, congrats! Could you tell us when you were completed?

I also received an interview invite yesterday. I had previously gotten an II at the university program

from what I remember, they interview about 200-250 students and accept around 20% of students post interview (around 40-50 students are accepted per year).

Have my interview coming up...do students come in with a longitudinal research project already in mind/should we have one ready to talk about during the interview? A lot of the work I do now is within a very specific cohort study that isn't too easily replicable, but I have broader research interests I plan to explore further in med school if that's ok.

In addition, can anyone speak to the grant opportunities available to pursue this research?

II! OOS, 517 3.88
Pleasantly surprised :)

Anyone know how many applicants they get/interview for a class of 32?

In the future if/when they make calls to PI’s, would they contact your current PI if you’re in a different lab from your undergrad or would they contact your undergrad one that you spent more time at?

Can someone explain sort of the admissions process/goals of Lerner? Had my case interview and just got WL from two other places so I want to make sure I'm prepped for Lerner. How does Lerner evaluate applicants after an interview and what is their waitlist like if present

Anyone else nervous for tomorrow or is it just me

Got my first R (pre-II)! Figured CCLCM was a long shot anyway. Interviewed with the university program last week so I don’t feel too badly about this.

R, complete 7/17. I wouldn't put a lot of stock in their "coaching sessions". I asked several times about these and they ghosted each time.
