Though I am a student on the ADCOM, only faculty have a say in the final decision. Therefore, I am unaware as to when the first wave of acceptances and rejections are occurring. I expect if they haven't already been sent out they will be coming within a week or two. Sorry I can't be of more help. This process usually stinks and this pandemic is making things ten times more stressful. Keep up the good work and whether it is Creighton or another school you all will make great docs!

Thank you so much for all your insight, I know this much be such a crazy time for you as well so it means a lot. Do you know if Creighton tends to weigh the faculty and student interviews equally?
 
We weight them equally yes. We mainly use the interview to see if your values and personality align with ours. But also remember you should be trying to figure out if we align with you. Best of luck!

Yes it is :/. Any one know when they’ll release today? I’ve also heard that they will WL most people, some people get As off the bat, but I think Rs are uncommon
 
Read on the thread from last year that evidently if your portal changes and the "thank you for interviewing" message on the status page is gone that means they have made a decision on your applicant. Mine portal changed this morning, but have not heard anything
 
My portal changed last night, haven’t heard anything back yet either

When you click the little link that says "check status" and it takes you to a different page that has your LOR stuff at the bottom. After interviewing, this page has a message at the top that says something like "Thank you for interviewing....". Based on previous years threads, when this disappears and the portal goes back to how it looked before your interview this was an indication that they had made a decision on your application. Little neurotic, and who even knows how true it is....😆

+1. Also I think I saw on last years thread that they tend to release decisions on Mondays and make decisions on Thursdays but I might be remembering incorrectly.

this was the case for me last year and i remember hearing it also

Possibly...I'm a student here and I think the stat for my year was something like 2/3 of interviewees got an acceptance by the end of the year. We accept on a rolling basis, so many students will get accepted and many will be WL. Don't forget that interviews run through February, so we are not even close to half-way through. Each incoming class is ~160-170 students and many people that are accepted will go to other schools and those on the WL will take up those spots (how it ends up being so many acceptances). People who interview later (jan/feb) might also get accepted before someone on the WL. I have classmates who were accepted within 2 weeks of their interview, some that spent 1 week on the waitlist, and some that spent until July on the WL. There really is no way to tell unfortunately, best of luck to everyone 🙂

Mine said this earlier today, however, that message too has disappeared for me just now. Now it only says "If there are additional or updated materials that you wish to provide the Committee on Admission, click the Document Uploads button to see if there is an option to upload the documents directly to us."

Sending positive vibes! I hope everyone gets great news on Monday, and for those of us waiting for an II, maybe that will happen too!
 
I probably should have clarified this but I will do so now anyways. Creighton only rejects those who have major red flags. For the most part they will either offer you a seat or will put you on the WL. If they put you on the WL you are likely to not get off of it until May. However, in rarer situations can offer you a seat off of the WL earlier on.
 
I was supposedly just accepted...but the acceptance letter says a name other than my own. Portal says I'm in but letter has a different name. I am spiraling right now

Did your acceptance letters disappear? I am a little late to the party and just logged into the portal and it's the same page I was on yesterday - are yours back to normal? Am I reading way too much into this?

Everything related to my acceptance is completely gone
 
so the email i recieved says that I was placed as alternate for admission into the first-year class... i have no idea what that means, but its clearly not an acceptance. Is this like a waitlist? anyone on the same boat?

When did you receive the email? And yes, from the information session, I believe that is the waitlist. I have heard from others on SDN that they put a lot of applicants on the waitlist, however, so don't be too discouraged.
