How important is VITA in the acceptance decision? I feel good about my interview but I’m super nervous because I think I did really bad in VITA
I did pretty bad on my vita (really vague generic answers to a couple prompts with stuttering) and got acceptedHow important is VITA in the acceptance decision? I feel good about my interview but I’m super nervous because I think I did really bad in VITA
My Vita crashed on Safari like 3 times mid answer. I would get constant messages saying your browser might crash and was distracted the entire time. I ended up answering the same question 2x because of the crash but AAMC didn't deem it a technical error. I'm not even sure what my end Vita looked like/ which one of my recordings was sent. Such an awful tool. How important is VITA in the acceptance decision? I feel good about my interview but I’m super nervous because I think I did really bad in VITA
lmao i stalked old northwestern threads bc i'm ~extra~ and i think it'll be jan 15Does anyone know when the next wave of acceptances should be?
Not for this application cycle. Can’t speak for future cyclesis northwestern doing group interviews still?
When are they scheduling for?Got an II yesterday! Completed app 8/5, and I'm pretty sure my VITA was a hot mess
It’s a group zoom with a handful of other applicants and a few medical students. I believe it’s based on your specific “diverse identity” too. Like I was in one for queer applicants and current queer students. Super casual and fun.Has anyone signed up for the diversity and inclusion talk? Is it a 1on1 with current med students or more of a panel.
My available dates were 1/12, 1/13, 1/19 and 1/20When are they scheduling for?
I think I got them the morning of my interview. To those who have interviewed - are we given the names of our three interviewers before the interview?
Yup, morning of interview, got an e-mail with my schedule and interviewers.I think I got them the morning of my interview.
I feel like if it were important, they wouldn't give names the morning of your interview. Nevertheless I did look them up and it distracted me from the interview day lol. It's pretty conversational though and they have leading questions for you.is it important to look up your interviewers beforehand?
All my interviewers have introduced who they are, what they do, etc., and pretty much told me exactly what I found through my hurried search beforehand haha.is it important to look up your interviewers beforehand?
eh personal preference. i briefly looked mine up beforehand bc i like putting names to faces before i meet peopleis it important to look up your interviewers beforehand?
They definitely say it, but I'm skeptical. Any current student around who can comment?Did anyone else recall them saying to expect a deferral in January? They said multiple times that only a small small number of people would be accepted this month in my interview group

Nothing like this said during my interview dayDid anyone else recall them saying to expect a deferral in January? They said multiple times that only a small small number of people would be accepted this month in my interview group
They said this at mine--they said no worries if you're not accepted first round because most people get deferredNothing like this said during my interview day
When did you interview? They said this at mine--they said no worries if you're not accepted first round because most people get deferred
+1. However, it seems a lot of schools say that and it varies how much they really mean itThey said this at mine--they said no worries if you're not accepted first round because most people get deferred
Very true; probably just want to make us feel better+1. However, it seems a lot of schools say that and it varies how much they really mean it
Early NovWhen did you interview?
Just know your app and be able to be conversational about it. Be yourself. This was one of my favorite interviews and pretty easy. I was just genuine and even joked around a lot with my interviewers. Got the A soAny tips for how to prepare for an upcoming interview at NW?
When you say deferral, do you mean get deferred a year and get in next year or waitlisted? If waitlisted are they saying there's a lot of waitlist movement? Thanks!Did anyone else recall them saying to expect a deferral in January? They said multiple times that only a small small number of people would be accepted this month in my interview group
Deferred until March (not WL)When you say deferral, do you mean get deferred a year and get in next year or waitlisted? If waitlisted are they saying there's a lot of waitlist movement? Thanks!
According to their secondary website they will give IIs until the end of January. Is Northwestern still giving out II’s?
Don't be too nervous. We want to know who you are and put a face to your application. This is also an opportunity for you to meet faculty/students at Feinberg and assess the fit. Faculty interviewers will have access to your application, so they might ask you about something on your application that interest them. Student interviews are closed-file, but it will be mostly conversational.Any tips for how to prepare for an upcoming interview at NW?
Can't tell if it will help or not, but I dont think it would hurt to send one!@FeinMS sorry to bother you with a question. I am thinking of sending an update to NW but am wondering if you happen to know if interviews invites are winding down and not worth sending the update anymore since it’s rather late in the cycle? Thanks in advance for reading, and no worries if you can’t answer!
They can. We don't coordinate our questions amongst the interviewers.w/ the two faculty interviews and the M4 interview, do the types of questions asked ever overlap?
We actually got notified on 11/30 at 6PM, not the night of the PBL example sessionLate Nov decisions were released shortly after the PBL session (11/20), so perhaps shortly after the upcoming AOSC town hall (1/22)? Just a guess though.
I think in Marchwhen do we hear about financial aid?
If you are asking this question, then please read the financial aid sheet they sent out because it has deadlines and info on it I wouldn't want you to miss!when do we hear about financial aid?
