+1, interviewed Dec 15I got the email saying that the committee couldn’t get to my app and that I’ll hear about my decision on 1/22. Anyone else in that same boat?
Interviewed Dec 8
if a defer is a soft rejection/WL, i will be very sadDoes anyone think an LOI is useful if you’re deferred? It was this just holding off to reject
I roughly tallied what happened in Feb in last year's thread, and about half of deferred people got WL and accepted, so being deferred is definitely better than a WL/R, and that aligns with the roughly 50% post-II A rate for Feinbergif a defer is a soft rejection/WL, i will be very sad
It depends when you interviewed. If you interviewed Sept-Oct, they'll get back to you in November. If you interviewed Nov-Dec, they'll get back to you in January. All others is late Feb early March I believeHow long does NW typically take to get back to you post-II?
Nothing to loseis there a point in submitted an update this late?
A NW mask, sticker, and hand sanitizerFor anyone who did the diversity and inclusion calls, any guesses what the token of appreciation they're sending via mail is?
I think I have answered this in the thread in the past, but it was very conversational. The interviewers were really friendly and seemed to just want to get to know me a little better. The day was informational with a curriculum walkthrough, fin aid, Chicago, virtual campus tour, etc. They were very attentive and friendly. In the end, they emailed us a word cloud with the fun facts we shared during the icebreaker. Cute touch.Would anyone who has interviewed be willing to comment on their experience?
really chill! at the beginning they had all of us introduce ourselves + say a fun fact so make sure you have one lolWould anyone who has interviewed be willing to comment on their experience?
Seconding this question! Is a deferral till March just going to be an eventual WL/R or do we actually have a decent chance of getting admitted? What do you guys think the chances of being accepted are after being deferred?
Most People are deferred. They accept a very small percent of applications early.Seconding this question! Is a deferral till March just going to be an eventual WL/R or do we actually have a decent chance of getting admitted?
Not really that different. The student doesn't know you other than what you disclose, and mine had some pre-selected questions he/she was required to ask me. Nothing surprising/unexpected.For anyone who interviewed, are the student interviewers any different from the MD interviewers?
I can't say for sure, but I sent one early Jan and they acknowledged it by email in literally half an hour after I sent it hahadoes anyone know if they are receptive to letters of intent?
Got the same response and got an II 2 weeks laterI can't say for sure, but I sent one early Jan and they acknowledged it by email in literally half an hour after I sent it haha
The message very brief, it just said "Thank you for your continued interest in Feinberg. Your communication has been added to your file for consideration," but it was nice to know that they at least opened my letter instead of ignoring it.
