If anyone else is a re-applicant, does Netter have a essay related to this (i.e. what have you improved?)
Not specifically anything about being a reapplicant

There is a “anything else you want to mention” essay that’s optional so if you wanted to bring up how you’ve improved then you can mention it there

So when inputting my courses, I inputted 2 inorganic chemistry classes and then 2 separate stand alone chemistry lab classes. and this worked to fit the requirement!

In the instructions, it says
"For stand-alone lab courses that are more than one credit, you should enter the lab course twice and divide the credits in half."

Does anyone possibly know what this means? Why would we need to do this?

For example, my stand alone chemistry lab class was 4 credits. Why would I need to enter the lab course twice and divide the credits in half?
Oof, I did this incorrectly and did not separate my 2-credit courses. I did not see that disclaimer before submitting. That doesn't make a lot of sense why we'd need to do that, but I guess it reflects that fact that you did a full "year" of the lab course instead of 1 semester, even though in actuality most only spend a semester in a 2-credit lab for many prereqs.

Ugh, I like this school but I feel like my app has so many weird technical and transcriptional errors at this point that I'm already not feeling good about it haha. Guess that's why you apply to 30 schools lol

wait i only see 4 questions on the secondary I dont see the covid or the area of medicine one ?

Does Quinnipiac do complete emails or no? I’ve had all my stuff submitted and marked received for a while so wondering if anyone has gotten an email saying they’re complete

Anyone know if it’s worth adding to my primary this late? I am complete otherwise MCAT, LOR...

Does anyone know the minimum MCAT for this school?

i think i just wasted my $100. added two courses as "writing intensive" and they asked to include the syllabus in the additional info section. for some reason i thought this was the optional question so i added the writing requirement for each course there. then i notice the additional info section at the top. i dont even have the syllabi for these classes anymore since i took them so long ago. should i even bother to email my professors asking for their old syllabi or just accept that i wont get an II since i clearly cannot read directions?

Confused about what you are talking about. Are you sure you are talking about the right school?

yup. in the course section it says "If you are entering a "writing intensive" course to fulfill the English requirement, please add the syllabus in the "Additional Information" section of your secondary application."

I must have completely missed that before submitting my app. I don’t believe I added anything in the additional info section :/

You can still add it now. Keep in mind if the class fills your school's writing requirement then I think you are ok to not upload the syllabus. It looks like it is only for courses that you have identified as writing intensive, but that your college might not have.

oh! that would be great if that is the case. i still emailed my professors to see if i can get the syllabi just in case

The language is, "English, writing intensive*, or courses that fulfill your college writing requirement," so I'd assume that they just mean "writing intensive" as the courses you're including which aren't recognized as writing intensive by your university. If you fulfill your college's requirement and it's two courses, even if they aren't English, you're fine without a syllabus.

I didn't get a complete email, but in my portal under App Complete there is a check mark and it says "Your application is ready to review!"

Mine just says “Your application is ready!”

Wonder if there’s a difference

anyone having trouble submitting payment? tried 2 different cards (both visa) on two different browsers and it keeps saying card declined...

I'm filling out the coursework section of their application and I came across two questions.

The first (pretty dumb), is: when entering AP coursework, their application says to enter "AP or IB" into the area for the grade. They have the quotation marks around that entire phrase, so I wanted to double check if I should enter that whole phrase, or just "AP."

The second is: I received credit for ENGL 001 at my university from AP credit, but received credit for ENGL 002 because of my SAT score on the writing section. It is listed separately from the AP classes on my transcript in its own SAT section. Does anyone know if I should write "SAT" in the grade section or should I use "AP" or "AP or IB" ?

Thank you!

Does know what Quinnipiac's screening process is like? Haven't received a secondary and I'm a little unsure of what to do.

I have gotten all my other secondaries. My EC's and stats aren't awful (511/3.81). OOS, was verified by AMCAS on 7/2, MCAT on 7/18 so just got scores on Monday. Anyone else have a similar experience/advice to give?

Thanks!

I submitted my primary to Quinnipiac on 8/3 after finding out about MCAT score, and I got a secondary the next day. (510/3.8)

Submitted on 7/17 and my letters of rec are marked received but my application is still not complete. Reaching out today.

Fingers crossed for some movement here soon! Quinnipiac looks like one of the earlier schools to send II's, according to last year's interview tracker.

I just completed the secondary, but when I click the submission tab, it says my "secondary essays" section is incomplete. I don't know how?! I wrote stuff in every box!! Is anyone else having the same problem??

hello! for AP courses that fulfill a requirement & listed on our college transcript, are people putting the name of that college/ fall semester for those AP classes? and also when entering course numbers, did you guys put "PSYCH 1010" or just "1010" ? just wanted to make sure i did this right before submitting!

Yes, put the name of the college that awarded credit and the semester the credit was awarded (generally fall of freshman year).

Course number should be entered exactly as on the primary, which is exactly the same as on your transcript. Course number usually refers to "PSYCH 1010," and course name usually refers to "introductory psychology."

Course "number" refers to the department and number, so "PSYCH 1010." I did what you did for AP classes.

Have not received a secondary, completed primary two weeks ago. I am still pending my MCAT scores so am wondering if they need those before sending a secondary? If any one has info, please let me know.

Thanks!

For "Year" in the course input, did you guys put year 2017 or freshman?

How are you guys structuring the advice to your younger self essay? Are you leaning more towards the entire 150 words all being advice or are you explaining why you're giving that advice to your younger self?

I did the second. My interpretation of the question was they wanted to see what you learned from past mistakes, so I gave the advice and why I would have wanted my younger self to do things differently. And also added how I got to the point where I am now because of what I previously learned.

+1 !

I honestly think one or more of the people who got all pissed about how it "stokes pre-med anxieties" sabotaged it. If they can't control themselves from looking at it, nobody should be able to use it.

I realize how angry that sounds, but that's literally the viewpoint people are expressing both here and on reddit.
