2020-2021 TCU & UNTHSC

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Asked before, but asking again: What are our thoughts on if people are getting IIs who were complete after our completion date? Silent R?

Is there anyway to re-listen to your secondary prompts/answers? Honestly can't remember what was asked or what I said.

Continued consideration x 3. Fml, now forced to put in a deposit at a DO school 😔😔

Are these post interview continued considerations? Does this mean the class is full already?

Yes, post interview and no it doesn't mean the class is full already! The admissions committee gives an update after their review every two weeks and they're kind enough to fill in all interviewees on where they are the review, whether that's accepted, rejected, or still being considered. Hope that makes sense

edit: there's no waitlist yet, at some point everyone who has not been accepted or rejected from continued consideration will be moved to the waitlist, at least that's how I understood it

Continued consideration x2, Hoping for good news soon! Appreciate them constantly giving updates tho, all my other schools dont even bother.

Continued consideration x3!

Continued consideration #4, I'm so over the moon to not be rejected, but man its rough to wait given this is my only II and my dream school. Holding my breath every 2 weeks!! Good luck to everyone, I hope some of you get the A today 🙂

Continued Consideration x not sure I’d have to count.
For all the people waiting,
“Patience is not the ability to wait, but the ability to keep a good attitude while waiting”- my pops, just now, who probably got it from some televangelist

MS1 here. Keep the faith! I was under continued consideration 10 times before my acceptance came! It was a looooong wait but made the acceptance call that much sweeter. I’m rooting for you all!!

Thank you for explaining!

Nothing like waking up in the morning to see an email from "MD Admissions and Outreach" and opening it quickly only to see that the substitution course for one of the pre-reqs was accepted. I was excited, the slightly disappointed, but now I'm holding onto hope that, by reviewing it, they're taking a closer look at my app. I know I say this every time I post, but I really, really love this school.

Same. Sent the syllabus and I’m now good to go. Was anxious but feeling better.

I just reread both last year's thread and this year's thread because I wanted to get an idea of where the TCU is in terms of invites and the like. I know SDN isn't the most representative, but this is what I've gathered from this thread thus far:
  • 27 IIs
  • 3 pre-II Rs
  • 3 As
  • 8 continued considerations
  • 2 post-II Rs
Latest date somebody who's heard *something* was complete was 9/14.

In case anybody else was wondering, I just saved you some time 🙂 Hope those of us in the waiting game hear something soon.

YOU ANGEL! We dont deserve you!

I'm in a situation where I still need the pre-req course for Genetics. Do you know of any classes that may suffice for this? I don't want to take this course if I don't have to, but if I do, not the end of the world.

Also complete in August and haven't heard a thing

Just trying help others out! I did forget to include that two of those II had been turned down (that I can remember - didn't include it on my tally paper but remember reading it).
Something to note. I believe my interview group had about ~20 people in it and there have been multiple interview groups so that II number is likely not accurate.

Sorry to hear this 🙁 How did interview day go? Were the MMI questions on the harder side?
I thought it went well! The MMI questions were on the easier side. I can't really give a bunch of details but TCU does a great job of making it feel as "stress-less" as possible. More conversational
