For those who have already interviewed, when do they send you the email that includes all the info for the interview date?

I haven't interviewed yet, but I logged onto the portal and all the information regarding my interview schedule and interviewers was there. I never received an email though. My interview is in about a week so if you haven't heard anything from them or there is nothing on your portal you may consider reaching out to them! Best of luck!

I was referring to the night before program thing. Is that on your portal? And also I am wondering if they have any extra event throughout the day or something like that

Oh I see! I still haven't received the zoom link for the night before meeting. Though they said they will send it out sometime the week of your interview.

Before my interview was cancelled, they sent out interview day links 2 days before interview. One day before the social, I got the social invite links.

Did anyone who is completed around 08/15 get interview invite?

I got an interview! How do you select the date? Do we get another email??

lol is ok to panic now? I've been complete since 7/12, but still waiting. 512 mcat and 3.79 gpa. feels bad

I received an II today and scheduled it for late October. Is it normal that there is no time of day or any other information besides the date? This is my first cycle so just wondering.

This is my first cycle too but there seems to be variation in when and how much information is given for interviews depending on the school. I would say in my experience it seems that this is on the sparse side as far as information goes about the day.

For those who recieved II's today, would you please post your stats?
GPA 3.68, mcat 509 😕

On the portal, it says this:
During your virtual visit, you will be introduced to the campus of UTMB, outstanding faculty, state of the art facilities, and our exceptional students. Student activities begin the evening before your scheduled interview date with a virtual social mixer. You will have the opportunity to meet and interact with UTMB students in a casual and relaxed atmosphere and ask any questions you may have.

Your interview day will begin at 8:00 a.m. We will introduce you to the campus as well as give you an overview of the curriculum. You will be scheduled for two interviews by faculty members, which will last approximately 30 minutes each between 10:00am and 4:00pm.

We ask that you dress as if you were attending the interview in person on campus.

If you have any questions, please contact us at (409) 772-6958 or [email protected]

Hi y'all! Ill be interviewing on Friday and was wondering if anyone could share their experiences with me on their interview day. What were the questions like, how were the interviewers and how was everything overall?

Thank you!

I interviewed last week and had a really great experience. They give a presentation, a really cool tour, and of course talk about the PBL curriculum there. The interviews were also pretty casual in my opinion! The questions were standard and nothing really threw me off. Most of my questions were about my application. Everything was great, I thought. I also had back to back interviews and was completely done by 12pm, so that was nice. Let me know if you have any other questions! Good luck on Friday!!

That's super helpful! Thank you so much! My interviews are scheduled for 3:15 and 4:15 which I wish it was earlier but hey, thats all good! Lol Did you feel as though the interviews were pretty conversational? I feel as though I get super nervous right before haha.

So I felt like one was and one wasn’t. My first one felt like I was getting grilled. Nothing hard, but one question after another. My second one was completely conversational. We talked about our lives the entire time. So both were definitely casual and not stressful, but one felt like an interview and the other didn’t. Also, I didn’t experience this, but my friend who goes there said that they love talking about research, so if you were heavily involved in that, definitely be ready to answer questions!! Ahhh that kinda sucks that you have interviews that late, but you also have some time to break in between whereas I went straight into mine! I always get so nervous too, but just remember that your credentials got you there, so just try and find out more about the school and showcase your personality 🙂 I’m excited for you!!

Omg thank you so much for the input! I needed it. I know who my interviewers are also so it's nice to be able to research them a bit as well beforehand. I heard that they love research so I'm definitely excited to elaborate more on that! Thank you for all the help, and I really wish you the best on your journey 🙂 You seem great!

Congrats!! When were you complete?
Thanks! Complete 6/23 IS
Edit: messaged them to waive the secondary fee due to FAP so IDK if that caused processing delays lol

I interviewed there a couple weeks ago with the same interview slots. Literally everyone I spoke to told me that it was the most chill interview ever and not to worry about it. However, since it was my first interview, I prepared as if it was going to be tough — thank God I did. Both my interviewers were 55+ y.o. and did not speak English as a first language. Neither interview was very conversational. The first interview was not stressful, but we discussed my application and I answered a few questions formally. The second interviewer fired questions at me AND I had a very difficult time understanding them due to their heavy accent. Although this sounds discouraging, both interviewers told me that I did well. I am a bit frustrated because I feel that I could've made a better impression if I spoke with different people. With that being said, it may not matter in the end. It could be the case that the interview is like a pass/fail test, and doing better would not increase my chances in any way. I hope this helps.

TL;DR: Take everything you hear with a grain of salt, even this post. Prepare for the worst, and do your best.

I had similar interviewers as well. I think about one time I was unable to really understand a question. I just made sure I talked slow especially with this being on video chat.
I’m sure you did amazing over all. I’ve read in other forums that even when people leave feeling not the best, they get a pre-Match, and I’m hoping that for you!

Thank you. That's very kind. All things considered, UTMB really impressed me! I would love to pre-match.

Where is the Pre-Rank page on TMDSAS?
same. Also, this may sound random but for those who sent thank you emails after the interviews did you get replies back? My first interviewer replied but the second one totally ghosted me don't know what to make of this ‍😕

Any current students lurking that would be willing to let me PM them?

Where is the Pre-Rank page on TMDSAS?
All y'all, the ranking section will show up in a few weeks on your TMDSAS portal. Keep your rank list written down on a pretty piece of paper until then. You can change your mind over and over between now and Feb 19th. :headphone:
