I had a group component in my interview. It was in September. Not sure if that has changed...
I also had a group component, but not sure how much of that was actually part of a "graded" interview

In some of my other interviews I was put in breakout groups with other students and we just casually talked/discussed. Was it more like that or were you actually completing a task/answering interview/MMI questions?

Would you mind telling me when you interviewed?
I interviewed in nov. Your interview day is the 30 mins check in followed by the MMI. Then you meet another day after on zoom where you are broken into groups and discuss about a topic with a current med student (you are given something to read before that meet up) but this wasn't graded and doesn't affect your interview assessment to my knowledge. I think this is what they others are referring to for the "group" activity. The school here just want you to get a good feel for what the school values from that activity. Good luck!

Thank you so much! This has been incredibly helpful!

No we had like a full on graded, group work component of the interview. It was like a team work exercise.

Hello! I just wanted to confirm that if I were to send them a letter at this point in time, I would address it to Nathalie Feldman, who is the current interim associate dean for admission. Thanks!

People got off the WL and got an acceptance instead??
Yeah from what I can tell, Vermont uses their WL a little bit differently from other schools. They don't wait to fill their entire class before they pull off the WL, but rather some people will go on the WL for a short period of time before they are accepted. At my interview day, they said most people who are accepted will be on the WL for at least some period of time.

I interviewed back in mid December and I have yet to hear back from the school. Should I take anything from that? Do they still silently reject those who have interviewed?

Someone had checked back through previous years and seen they release decisions every few weeks. Last one was in late January that seemed to be people who interview in November/early december. I interviewed mid Dec. as well, and am hopeful we'll hear something either late this week or next week. Best of luck!

Thank you so much! This is the way

Are most interviewed students put on the alternate list or given the A? Is the alternate list worthwhile/is it common to be rejected post-II at UVM?

Does anyone know if there is a second look day or an accepted student facebook group?

Search for Larner College of Medicine Class of 2025 to find the Facebook group

For those of you who interviewed already. What campus did you pick and why? No wrong answers, just trying to get more perspectives/reasons.

UVM LCOM does not accept updates according to their site:

Does anybody have any contradicting experience?

Idk if I misread it somewhere, but does LCOM like students to keep in touch and give letters of interest multiple (like twice) times throughout the cycle if you're on the WL?

Does anyone know when they release scholarship decisions?

Just a quick question, are the MMIs here open file or closed file? Thanks in advance!

As far as I can tell, no one has been post—II rejected correct? The pattern is many go on the alternate list and some don’t hear back. Or is this where everyone goes on the waitlist post-II and no one is outright rejected? Anyone know?

There is always hope! I still haven't heard a single thing from 8 schools (complete in August). Vermont is still giving out interviews, so best of luck!
ayyyy thanks!

Does anyone know how easy is to become IS student for financial aid purposes?
Not easy at all.. Vermont is among the strictest about this. You need to basically live in Vermont 1 year before even applying, and you can't just be living there for school/tuition-related purposes.

You can't establish in-state residency later on while attending UVM either
