2020-2021 Wayne State

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Did you guys complete the post-interview survey? I just realized I hadn't completed mine

Yes. They sent me my Academia login an hour ago. Received almost a full unsub loan aid offer, no grants though.
Ah. I got mine too, but don't have any offers listed yet. Did you already send in your transcripts?

When was everyone accepted who received login info? I just got my background check email but I haven’t sent transcripts yet.

You don't have anything in this tab?

I have this! My understanding is that the cumulative loan information on the right is reflective of my undergrad loans.

Under my "Accept Award Offer" Tab, this is what I have. I turned in my citizenship verification, just didn't know if I had to turn in all my transcripts, background checks and stuff to change that "not admitted to an eligible program" requirement.

should we all get in and go to Wayne, we'll be able to spot those of us who have been on this thread because of how haunted and dead inside we look 🤣
honestly, after we all get in (manifesting this) we should all form a support group to deal with the aftermath of this application cycle

Should I send a letter of intent even though I have no significant updates? Im on the waitlist at a three schools now but Wayne is undoubtedly my first choice, so I don't want to screw this up at all

If you are 100% sure you will attend then why not?

I was in the same place last week. I sent a letter of interest and got an A two weeks later (last week). I don't know how coincidental that was but I'm glad I did it!

Yeah it seems like with 452 A already and 100 iis still left, only about 100/1000 on the waitlist will get an A based on last year total of 570 A. I’m also on the waitlist, dec ii. 🙁(((

Where did you get 1000 for the waitlist?
Well they offered ~1500 iis so subtracting the 450 A right now, there are around 1000 people left. I’m assuming that most who have interviewed were placed on the waitlist considering that I haven’t heard of anyone getting a post ii rejection. I think those post ii R only happen in rare circumstances if there is a red flag. So maybe not exactly 1000 on waitlist but close to it once the interviews are done

I mean, the majority of waitlist movement happens in May, right? I think it's still early.

Ya - we have to realize that the end of April is when people have to narrow their acceptances to one school, so this is when most WL movement occurs for every school. We still have about two months before we see a lot of action.

they plan on doing 650 (per what was said in the coffee chat), so i'd say its closer to 20% (which suggests that ALL non A's are WLers).

How would that suggest that all non A's are WLers though? There's currently about 1000ish non A's whereas they said they're only waitlisting about 650. Wouldn't that mean the other ~350 got the R?

Sorry should’ve been more clear! I meant there were planning on 650 As. And there Are 1000 people who didn’t get As so 200/1000 (it’s probably less than 1000 though because of the possible R’s and people who voluntarily left the WL)
