Has anyone been to an information session yet? I'm going to both on Wednesday and I'm trying to figure out what to expect. What questions should I prepare, if any?

I did! It's with Dr. Goodell who is absolutely wonderful. If you have general questions about the social justice mission or curriculum you could have those prepared, but I don't think you need to have anything going in. Otherwise, she goes through a powerpoint and you could have Qs come up along the way, and there's always the student panel as well if you'd like a different perspective.

for those who have interviewed, when should I expect to receive the email with the zoom link for my interview?

Complete 7/20, just rejected…

Heavy ties (fiancé current M1, employee at BUSM). Oof 🙁
just got the R complete 7/20. I grew up in poverty and worked with Boston Healthcare for the Homeless/BMC. Thought I'd have a chance since I'm a perfect mission fit. f that
What stats did you guys have? LM score? If you have an LM 70+ (BUSM 25th percentile), I'm surprised your ties weren't enough.

520 MCAT, 3.65-3.7 for cumulative and sci GPAs. BU is not stat-oriented as much as other schools though (but I do think I was a good mission fit)

Where did you get this part about BU not being stats-oriented? the school's median is +3.85 +518
There's been a lot of reports about how the school focuses much more on mission fit than stats, but I definitely agree with you that it's medians don't make it seem that way at all. I'm LM 77, and a relatively poor mission fit unlike some of the recent candidates that were rejected, so I was pretty surprised to receive an II. I almost did not apply to this school.

Complete 7/26 and still waiting as well
My read (as a first time applicant who really doesn't know much) is that BU does seem to be going through apps by the complete date for the most part.. so just continuing to wait haha.

Any interviewees sending thank you letters or emails? My interviewer left me their email for any questions etc and I’m debating sending a thank you note.
