Just popping in to say I canceled my interview and withdrew my application after receiving As at two of my top choices today. I hope this allows one of you wonderful people to receive that interview slot!

NYMC doesn't sent pre-ii rejections until March. They send holds around end of March, which I think is a soft R. I'm a reapplicant here and was completed early August
 
If we have not received any interviews so far from any school and we submitted on 6/25-7/22, should we assume we have been rejected from everywhere. I received a rejection from Dartmouth and UPitt and am on hold for GW, Tulane, and Drexel, applied to 19 schools

No, we still have over half the cycle left to go. No telling how many of the other schools will look at you more favorably. Not every school is the same either, that's why people get accepted super early at some schools and then rejected super early at others. Maybe 2 schools didn't go your way but you still have an active application at 17! Keep your chin up 🙂

There’s a confidentiality agreement so we can’t share much about the MMI portion.

None of the questions made me want to cry or anything crazy lol! Just your typical MMI scenarios that you should be able to answer. Briefly research & familiarize yourself with the usual MMI type interview questions and you’ll be fine. I’m a pretty anxious person and I found it relatively low stress.

There is an opportunity to ask questions to the Dean, Chancellor & a current student panel with M1s and M2s. Hope this helps!
 
Is there anyone here who got a post II decision so far that isn’t an acceptance?

Last years thread had mixed insights, some say this is a soft R, others commented that they anecdotally knew people whose holds turned into IIs then As. It looks like they continue to send pre-II holds well into next year and likely a lot of them turn into Rs eventually.
 
OOS, just got put on pre-II hold. Is this a soft R at NYMC?
