Just wanted to follow up on this to reassure everyone who did not see the admissions decision tab/receive an email that it was 100% a clerical error that "caused confusion" (cries). I went back through this thread and identified that everyone who saw the tab and posted about either receiving an II or the post-interview cut email either was in the first round of IIs going out/interviewed on the first interview day of the cycle, if not the second. If this is not the case, please please please correct me! But this truly was a clerical error that affected the first round of interviewees. There is absolutely no way that over 25% of the class would come from a single interview day or even a single month of interviews. So, please feel reassured that it really was a mistake. And to those of us that did see it... yep. It was all really a mistake. Props on getting an interview early tho lmao

Edit: someone confirmed that they were in the first batch of interviewees and did not see a tab/get an email. Let me clarify and say that this clerical error did not affect every early interviewee, but apparently only early interviewees. There's no way that more than a quarter of their class will be September interviewees because that's not how any school works, so please don't be discouraged by not getting a tab. (cynical beep beep says, be discouraged by the extremely low post-II--> ratio instead). but don't be discouraged please. I'm going to check on my borscht.

Thank you for doing the legwork on this, honestly was thinking I got the R/waitlist bc I didn’t see the tab or get an email about the mistake

Just wanted to note that I interviewed on the first day and received a final consideration email, but I did not receive the letter on the portal.

I still believe that the letters were 100% a clerical mistake and did not mean anything!

ope, sorry morningnight! I assumed you did not bc I think I saw you confirm your final pool email a little later than I did and I got it exactly 6 weeks after my interview date. But yeah, clerical error it is.

Not sure, also wondering if they call all 25 ppl on the same day. What if you miss the call? Do they go down the list and give ur spot to the next person? Oh man and in what order do they call the Chosen Ones (by name, interview date, other)? Ughhhhhhhh
 
Lol guys I’m at work and I’ve had a headache/anxiety stomach ache the whole afternoon. And it’s not even the day results are out😂

well see they're going to call everyone that they accidentally accepted first to remind us that it's a mistake and reject us. Also, someone in a past year's thread reported getting a text?? from NYU Long Island. Which would make me scream. Imagine a med school texting you... "I sent you an admissions decision plz respond 🥺" I doubt that story is true. In last year's thread, it appeared that calls went out over a series of days based on specialty, though I think the Dean basically implied that all calls will go out Tuesday and Wednesday. The email that us clerical-error friends received said that decisions will start to go out tomorrow. But there's no way that if you don't respond they'll give your spot to someone else. They'll probably just leave a voicemail

Edit: another applicant confirmed that Dean Baum will text you if you don't pick up the call. Clown make up: applied.

I asked this question during my interview and Ms. Baum said she sends you a text asking about a better time for her to call you back.
 
serious question - how did you all even find this facebook group? Not that I'm trying to peek in it or anything but what - did you just search on facebook different permutations of NYU Long Island 2025?
