To those who interviewed in November, how many think we will hear back before Christmas? Will a GW A be sitting under the tree this season 🤔
I interviewed 10/13 and still have heard nothing lolTo those who interviewed in November, how many think we will hear back before Christmas? Will a GW A be sitting under the tree this season 🤔
omg I am so sorry. I barely interviewed a week ago and am super anxious, the wait is killing me so I can't imagine how you're getting through it!!! They're really taking their time 😳 Wishing for an A for you these holidays!I interviewed 10/13 and still have heard nothing lol
Thank you! You too. If you look at the portal, they say it can take up to 8 weeks. Although I really think it varies based on when people have been reporting on this threat.omg I am so sorry. Yes, I saw that it can take up to 8 weeks, but I am secretly hoping it won't. In the meantime, trying to develop some good coping mechanisms so I am not spending so much time being anxious about this decision!Thank you! You too. Yep, I’m at 9+ weeks. 🤞Is anyone still waiting for an interview decision and its been past 8 weeks since interview?
Oh lord. Whoa thats long. Hopefully a decision comes out soon for both of us cause their portal says up to 8 weeks lolYep, I’m at 9+ weeks. 🤞
Feels. The two schools (not GW) I've interviewed at won't let me know anything until at the earliest January, but more likely all the way into March...Yep, I’m at 9+ weeks. 🤞
Did you interview at GW?Feels. The two schools I've interviewed at won't let me know anything until at the earliest January, but more likely all the way into March...
No, no, no. I was just being sympathetic.Did you interview at GW?
Understaffed I’m sureFeel like there are a good number of people approaching 8 weeks post-interview if not already passed. My tingly senses tell me the next batch of decisions is coming soon.
Also interesting to note is that in previous years, the turnaround time was usually 2-3 weeks, but this year it seems to be at minimum 4-5 weeks. Fastest turnaround I've seen this year was a little over 3 weeks, but it's also technically "4 weeks" if we're counting the full weeks.
Not sure. What's weird is a few people interview a day after than me (10/14) and already heard back at 4-5 weeks. So really not sure how they are deciding in what order to make decisions after interviews.Feel like there are a good number of people approaching 8 weeks post-interview if not already passed. There probably isn't a decision order. If anything, that sounds to me like they can't make up their mind on whether to accept you or put you on the WL, and they continue to compare your file with newer interviewees. Not sure. Not sure if we will ever know the rationale. I do know the people that heard back 4-5 weeks were WL (at least on sdn). I also know that people heard back within a month and were accepted and/ or waitlisted. There probably isn't a decision order. Hoping for the best for you and everyone else waiting.
You will get an email if you get the R with the title "GW status" and a text body indicating that they cannot offer you a place in the class this coming year. For those getting pre-II R’s after being put on hold, did y’all get emails? I never got an email when I was put on hold so just wondering!
For sure. There isn't any rhyme to it.Not sure if we will ever know the rationale. I do know the people that heard back 4-5 weeks were WL (at least on sdn). I also know that people heard back within a month and were accepted and/ or waitlisted.
This is one of the most frustrating parts and I wish there was more transparency. But just a guess, they could have some sort of voting system and if you’re a tie or they can’t decide, they might put you into the next interview pool and vote again. They might be meeting once a month which is why it’s 4-8 weeks wait. Not sure if we will ever know the rationale. I do know the people that heard back 4-5 weeks were WL (at least on sdn). Yeah honestly not even sure how the admission process works so hard to even say, but for people where its been beyond 8 weeks that's what confuses me because on the portal it says up to 8 weeks. This is one of the most frustrating parts and I wish there was more transparency. I got mine 3 days before the actual interview. When did people get their interview times? Mine is two weeks out and not scheduled yet, is that normal?
I got mine maybe 1-2 days before. When did people get their interview times? Mine is two weeks out and not scheduled yet, is that normal?
Yes it is, I didn't get the specific time until 2 days before - they usually give you the time frame before, though, and then you get a 30 min slot somewhere in that frame. When did people get their interview times? Mine is two weeks out and not scheduled yet, is that normal?
You can also ask ahead of time to see if they can give you a preferred time slot. I work FT and asked for the earliest slot so I could still go into work after and not miss out on too much of my day.Yes it is, I didn't get the specific time until 2 days before - they usually give you the time frame before, though, and then you get a 30 min slot somewhere in that frame.
