2022-2023 George Washington

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
In the same situation. Did they accommodate this? How/when did you ask?
I asked like a week and a half before because I was getting worried about not getting a time as we were heading into Thanksgiving, which really meant that there were like 6 business days before the day of the interview. I asked for the 12-1PM slot and they gave me the 12PM slot. As others have mentioned, I didn't get the specific time until maybe 2-3 days prior.

I interviewed here earlier and wanted to ask you guys if this is your top choice (especially OOS students), what stands out about this school compared to others?

Have you heard back from them yet?

The biggest thing for me is their focus on public health. The curriculum really stands out amongst other schools.

WV resident, but I work in western Maryland.

Just got placed on WL. Interviewed end of october

Do they send post-II R's throughout the cycle or just at the end?
You should hear back in about 4-8 weeks after your interview. They waitlist most people, accept some, and reject some. If you are waitlisted and do not end up getting off the waitlist, then you would know sometime in April/May/June.

In email they said the waitlist would remain open until July most movement in spring.

How long after the waitlist should you wait to send a letter of interest or a letter of intent?

Thank you for the info! I was going through last cycle's thread and seems like people were getting off the waitlist in mostly March and April. They apparently also send informal likely emails letting people know there is a spot open and if they'd like to move off the waitlist.

Yeah i feel like people usually only get rejected after interviews if its very egregious or something bad happened during the interview or what not

Accepted just now! Interviewed a couple of weeks ago. I am so shocked as I didn’t think my interview went well. This is my first acceptance as well.

To everybody that is currently waiting to get an interview, scheduled to interview, WL, or unfortunately rejected I am so rooting for you. You all are some of the most passionate, humble, self motivated individuals and will go on to become phenomenal physicians and really make a difference in your patients lives.

congrats! Did the A come as an email or phone call? I interviewed just over a month ago, so seeing the activity in this thread over the last hour has gotten my heart rate up lol

Interviewed 2 weeks ago, and feeling the same. But I believe they email everyone regardless of the decision.

Yes definitely. My HR was also up a couple of weeks ago looking at this forum lol. So they email you.

WL for the second year in a row. Hang in there, friends.
Same here.

Does anyone know what the chances are of getting off the waitlist (OOS) at GW?
GW's post-II acceptance is about 28% (directly accepted and WL->accepted), so realistically quite low. However, low =/= impossible and there is always a good amount of movement starting April for interviewees of all months.
