2022-2023 George Washington

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
For people that got decisions after they interviewed-- how long did GW take to get back to you all?

To those that got a pre-II R. Did a new message show up on the application portal?

Yes, a message stating that an email regarding application status was sent to the email address on file and to check my email for the update.
Thank you! This one R won't stand in your way of getting that white coat. Your future holds amazing things. Good luck! 🙂

Is this rly true
According to AMCAS data, for 2022-2023 entering class there were 990,790 total applications from 55,188 total applicants. I don't know what the figures are for SDN, but I am SURE there are significantly less than 55,188 users posting on all these threads! All I found is that there's a total of 37.2K posts IN TOTAL in the current 2022-2023 school specific discussions. That's already so significantly less than even the total number of applicants.

Those that have received a decision, how long has it taken to get your decision?

Anybody who interviewed end of Sept hear anything? Haven’t heard back yet but dying to know!

When do they begin to give IIs to people on hold, or is it basically an R?

They've already done that - I guess it depends on when you were put on hold. Some ppl already have been moved from hold to II

Does anyone know anything about the waitlist at this school? Is there still a decent chance to get in?

I just checked MSAR and GW doesn't provide any numbers on that. Not sure where else to get that info from sorry bud!

There is definitely a chance- the WL moves a decent amount, but the WL is also big. Many people got off last year and reported on SDN. GW does not outright admit many and leans on the WL.

How long are the required parts of interview day? I see that the interview generally lasts half an hour from other replies here, but idk if I have to take a full day off of work or not

Interview is only 30 minutes and thats it. There is nothing else they have scheduled.

Is attending the student panel series required, and if so, is there a dress code for it?

Seems like it's not required. However, I would appreciate if they stopped sending emails that say "welcome to GW" especially since it's been 4-5 weeks since I interviewed with them and it is actual emotional anguish 😢
lol same four weeks today. I heard someone heard back after 5 weeks.

Having interviewed here before and based on what others have experienced, I expected another rapid-fire interview, but I had the most incredible interviewer this year. It actually threw me off.

Still not expecting a straight A based on my previous experiences, but I'll dream.
Would love to hear about your experiences last time!

I am unsure if there is an NDA that I unknowingly signed, but without giving away too much, the interview ended up being more cathartic than stressful. I'd consider myself stoic, but I came out of the interview thinking I should find a therapist. Heh.

If you were asking about my first time interviewing here, it was rapid-fire question after question similar to what many others reported. I also interviewed relatively late into that cycle, so I didn't expect much.

how late did you interview last time? I didn't know that interviewing late mattered that much
