A!Your A or II?
Following !!!To those that got a pre-II R. Did a new message show up on the application portal?
Is this rly trueYeah 🙁 But remember that most applicants do not use SDN lol
Very true. SDN (or even premed reddit) is not representative of the whole applicant pool at allIs this rly true
Yes, a message stating that an email regarding application status was sent to the email address on file and to check my email for the update. To those that got a pre-II R. Did a new message show up on the application portal?
Thank you! This one R won't stand in your way of getting that white coat. Your future holds amazing things. Good luck! 🙂Yes, a message stating that an email regarding application status was sent to the email address on file and to check my email for the update.
I receive it, thank you 🙂Thank you! This one R won't stand in your way of getting that white coat. Your future holds amazing things. Good luck! 🙂
According to AMCAS data, for 2022-2023 entering class there were 990,790 total applications from 55,188 total applicants. I don't know what the figures are for SDN, but I am SURE there are significantly less than 55,188 users posting on all these threads! All I found is that there's a total of 37.2K posts IN TOTAL in the current 2022-2023 school specific discussions. That's already so significantly less than even the total number of applicants. Is this rly true
Hey somebody has got to score in the 7th percentileMe and my 7th percentile PREview score (I know) are clinging on for dear life rn
Me too, complete 7/13Complete 7/7, still on hold
Me too, complete 7/13
I am hopeful! I think they probably reviewed everyone who was on hold recently and just haven't decided what to do with us yet. Maybe an II will come in the futureMaybe a good sign or they just haven’t gotten to us yet haha

me tooReceived a post-interview alternate list status update today. Took ~5 weeks from my interview to hear back.
what does an alternate list even mean?Received a post-interview alternate list status update today. Took ~5 weeks from my interview to hear back.
I believe alternate list is another term for waitlist, but please correct me if that is not the casewhat does an alternate list even mean?
Yes same as waitlistI believe alternate list is another term for waitlist, but please correct me if that is not the case
Hope so too, have been on hold since 7/29.I am hopeful! I think they probably reviewed everyone who was on hold recently and just haven't decided what to do with us yet. Maybe an II will come in the future
They've already done that - I guess it depends on when you were put on hold. Some ppl already have been moved from hold to IIWhen do they begin to give IIs to people on hold, or is it basically an R?
I just checked MSAR and GW doesn't provide any numbers on that. Not sure where else to get that info from sorry bud!Does anyone know anything about the waitlist at this school? Is there still a decent chance to get in?
There is definitely a chance- the WL moves a decent amount, but the WL is also big. Many people got off last year and reported on SDN. GW does not outright admit many and leans on the WL.I just checked MSAR and GW doesn't provide any numbers on that. Not sure where else to get that info from sorry bud!
Interview is only 30 minutes and thats it. There is nothing else they have scheduled. How long are the required parts of interview day? I see that the interview generally lasts half an hour from other replies here, but idk if I have to take a full day off of work or not
Seems like it's not required. However, I would appreciate if they stopped sending emails that say "welcome to GW" especially since it's been 4-5 weeks since I interviewed with them and it is actual emotional anguish 😢Is attending the student panel series required, and if so, is there a dress code for it?
lol same four weeks today. I heard someone heard back after 5 weeks.Seems like it's not required. However, I would appreciate if they stopped sending emails that say "welcome to GW" especially since it's been 4-5 weeks since I interviewed with them and it is actual emotional anguish 😢
Would love to hear about your experiences last time!Having interviewed here before and based on what others have experienced, I expected another rapid-fire interview, but I had the most incredible interviewer this year. It actually threw me off.
Still not expecting a straight A based on my previous experiences, but I'll dream.
I am unsure if there is an NDA that I unknowingly signed, but without giving away too much, the interview ended up being more cathartic than stressful. I'd consider myself stoic, but I came out of the interview thinking I should find a therapist. Heh.Would love to hear about your experiences last time!
how late did you interview last time? I didn't know that interviewing late mattered that muchI am unsure if there is an NDA that I unknowingly signed, but without giving away too much, the interview ended up being more cathartic than stressful. If you were asking about my first time interviewing here, it was rapid-fire question after question similar to what many others reported. I also interviewed relatively late into that cycle, so I didn't expect much.
