Hi! Also OOS here and anxiously waiting. If you don't mind me asking, did you have any ties to California or the school, and if not what did your ECs look like? I know comparison is the thief of joy butttt it's rough out here for the out of staters as I'm sure you're familiar with :hungover:

Hey! No worries at all, I don't have that close of ties with California/the school. The only exception is that I briefly worked in a tech company that UCLAHealth collaborates with, but I didn't mention it in my apps haha. My EC's aren't showstopping, I think the only thing that might stick out is that I do have 4000+ clinical hours, but that's only cause I work at a hospital! Wishing you the best of luck 😀
 
Does UCLA look favorably on Letters of Interest? Their website says they don't take letters of intent, but they allow you to update letters of interest to your portal. Also, who has the final vote for admission? @lalala_the_moon_light any insight?

Anyone who interviewed back in October heard anything? Does that mean we are rejected ??

I do not understand this process !! Can you explain it @lalala_the_moon_light please?? Why are we seeing acceptances from Decemebr or Novemeber but nothing about October /September? Does that mean we are waitlisted or rejected ?
What is the order they use in the decision process ?

Thinking about it, that defeats the purpose of rolling bases. Since applying early isn't making a difference this way!

My ranking must be really terrible to be ghosted like this. It is sad and I'm sure alot of people are in similar situation Where they are still waiting. I hope we hear from the school soon, at least some closure.

That being said, congratulations to everyone who got in, seriously it is a huge accomplishment and I hope that all are proud of this. I wish the best of luck for us waiting to hear back.
Will hang in there and see what happens....
 
have they sent out pre-ii R’s yet? this is a super reach for me but haven’t heard anything back yet (not even brown bag) since submitting in july
