I’m taking it as either a good sign for a possible II since a lot of holds seem to have gotten Rs or they simply haven’t gotten to my application yet
I'm sure they've reviewed it if you submitted in early july

Just adding another data point here. Submitted 8/3 but no change in status (i.e. no hold)

I have been on hold for forever now. I also did not get an email about this hold... I accidentally saw it when I logged back into the portal. What do these holds mean? I kind of just assumed it was a soft R.

same here! from past years, doesn't seem like it's a soft R like how holds are at other schools. hoping for the best!

put on hold today (or earlier I hadn't checked my portal since last week) , was complete 7/11

Submitted 8/27

Quick response was put on hold for re-review when I checked today 8/31

submitted 8/19, checked portal today and put on hold for later review

LOR requirements say committee letter required if available to you. I was ineligible for one so should I reach out to them? I submitted beginning of July and still just on complete. I graduated in 2021 did a post bacc 2022 now in grad school so maybe it’s less of a red flag since I’m not currently in a program that offers one?

You don’t need to explain, because it was not available to you. Have you submitted the requested type of letters sent separately?

Okay that makes sense, I was concerned they would think I just didn’t get one. They received my individual LORs beginning of July. Thanks for your help!

If you are still complete and not on hold is this a good sign based on historical data?
i think it’s hard to say. i looked through last year’s thread, and it looks like most people who received a pre-II R were on hold at some point. the earliest reported pre-II R was in early nov. however, there were people who also sat on hold from around july to getting an II in january. i’ve been complete since 7/11 with no change in status. it is odd to me because i feel like if they wanted to give me an II they would have, and if they didn’t want to/weren’t sure, they’d put me on hold. but who really knows, all we can do is wait

TLDR: no one knows, stop speculating

Same Pre-II R, am feeling a mix of emotions today. GW was high up on my list 🙁 , but also just got an II at my state school earlier today.

No, the hold will say that your app has been reviewed and the committee will re-review for a final decision
