I wonder why they are not following the NYU model, it seems like not everyone will get the free tuition

My guess is so they can cover full rides for everyone under $175k. I don’t think NYU or Einstein makes that commitment, but I could be wrong.

The $300k threshold seems too low especially for families in expensive and or highly taxed cities. I hope they give some partial aid to families over $300k because if it is just a hard cutoff some folks will be literally working just to pay Hopkins tuition. E.g., a family making 430 from NYC which is a high expense and high tax rate state can expect to take home about 50 percent of their salary. So that extra 130k over 300k would go 100 percent to just pay Hopkins tuition. That could be one parent’s salary. They literally would be far better off staying home in that case!

Very happy for everyone though. This is great news for medicine.

How much aid did someone making slightly over 300k receive?

They say updated FA award letters should be going out today. Has anyone received them?

NYU covers full rides too, but I am not sure of the income threshold
