just wanted to share that friends who applied to Tulane in previous years waited months to be put under review in some cases (even if submitted extremely early)! Sorry that isn't great news for people still waiting, but at least you know if you've already been waiting for a long time it isn't out of the ordinary they don't seem to go just in order of submit date. <3

Wait is it common for the portal to say "under review", I thought it always said "application is ready" or "forwarded to preliminary review." Is that common in most schools where it says "under review?"

I submitted mid-July and was put under review 8/1 but radio silence since then lol. I'm trying to convince myself that regardless of where we are in the process, not having an R yet is still a good thing.

It is different! You will receive another email after the application is complete one, indicating that you're under review

That part of the email is outdated. There is no correlation between the green check on our portal and being under review (as of a few years ago). They will explicitly tell you when you're under review via email

That’s what I thought. It blows my mind how big of a deal applications are and that schools still have blatantly wrong info, yet every little mistake counts against us as applicants.

I had an admissions coordinator at another school tell me the school has no secondary fee, after I said I paid one. She said it mustve been a scam or paid the wrong school. After I sent her my receipt she informed me she was wrong and the school in fact does have a secondary fee lol.

No? Not unless they've given out every interview which they haven't. A hold is usually a soft R at Tulane.

Ohh. I don't think anyone has any idea. People have been under review all over the place in terms of completion dates. I'd say just put Tulane in the back of your mind and if an interview comes then it'll come.
