LM 66, URM, OOS West Coast. Biochem/math for undergrad, masters in social policy (UK Fulbright). 4 years work experience in health service design and evaluation (research, analyst). Being considered for GHAC, and I've lived/studied/worked outside the USA since 2019. Tonnsss of research (bench + qualitative), volunteer, and advocacy experience. Feeling so so excited to be accepted!

Do you have to be Accepted to UCSD during the general admission cycle and then are considered for GHAC
Or is it a different and independent ADCOM review

the only email I received from them is the mistake email on 8/30 that said they had received my verified AMCAS application then a few second after an apology email for that glitch in their system. After that its radio silence.

I believe everyone who is being considered for GHAC has already been contacted. My invitation to interview included a blurb 'you are being considered for GHAC'. There are 4 events during the year (we already had one meet/social over zoom with approx 25 applicants, many of whom were in the same interview cohort the next day), and there is a second round of interviews with GHAC faculty in February.

Everyone! I emailed UCSD for status update b/c I haven't received their 2nd and they said they actually did send me an invite already, but due to some issue with gmail, I haven't received it. Issues are now solved and I'm submitting my 2nd right now. You should email the school for status update if you are still waiting. Better than doing nothing and wait in doubt!! Good luck!!

I personally went to a summer program there, sometimes it means your an alum, you worked there, parents are faculty etc. it means they know you in some way
